Glad to see that you're going to start work on it again. Good luck.
As a side note, there's still a lot of plot that is unknown for my game. I think the gameplay elements that I eventually plan on implementing will end up driving my story.

I use geocities.com. It gives you free web space that I put my demo on. I don't really know what else you could use off hand.

Those sprites look pretty cool. I was wondering if you have started on the actual game yet or if you were just doing sprites for now? Also, what do you plan to use to make the game?

Looking good. Keep it up. I enjoy the competition. It helps me get motivated so I actually work on my game. What are you using to make this game with?

Glad you like it. Yes I plan to work on it eventually. Don't really know when though. Right now I just moved across the country and started a new job so I have to get all settled in. We're using a different program at work called Macromedia Director that I might be able to use to create a better version of ST3 once I gain some more knowledge of it. It's gonna happen but I don't know when

I found the link to my old demo. www.geocities.com/startropics3/Keep in mind it hasn't been updated since last June. Also that nasty glitch is in there that after a jump, it randomly allows you to walk off of the tile into the water.

Yeah I still plan on finishing my game but I haven't had time to work on it. It's my final semester in college and I've been swamped with homework and looking for a job. I will eventually finish it. It just might take me a few years...
Mitch, that was my demo that I had posted on geocities. I can't remember the link but I can figure it out and put the demo back up if you guys want to check it out again. Nothing has been done to it since the last time though.

Well there's already a bunch of stuff here on the forums from fan creations that we have done from drawings, to wallpapers, 3d models of Mike and weapons, and of course my StarTropics III game I'm creating with a level editor that allows you to play user created dungeons. Another thing you forgot were FanFics that a few people of written.
It seems like were doing a good job at creating fan based stuff. We just need a method of getting people interested in ST so they will actually come here and check it out.
EDIT: Maybe we need one centralized web page that people can go to access all of this user created stuff rather than having to seach through a bunch of topics to find everything.

It's been released!!!!!!!! Hopefully this will stir up some excitement for the game. Now if only they would put Mike in SSBB in some way, they we may finally get to see another sequel.

I do think that the linearity was perfect for ST as well. It made the game much more accessible to people who did not want to spend forever looking for a dungeon resulting in more action.
This was perfect when I was younger, but gamers today have grown accustomed to a more epic and long lasting adventure. This is why my version of ST3 will have a free roaming type feel, allowing islands to be revisited later on.
And S2H, have you reading my notes? I have every intention of creating Dr. J's lab so you can see what it is like inside.
