1: I think it would have been modern-day California but I'm not sure what the era-specific answer is...unless it is also California 2: Quite obviously, it would be Michelle. 3: No clue... 4: I don't think I understand fully what you're trying to get at here... IN OTHER WORDS 5: Bananas in the ears? 6: Wow! You've done it! 7: Super Nova...and yes: WUT 8: Sub-C 1. )ding *applause* (This is the most PROBABLE answer, nothing explicitly confirms this, but between the year 1849 on the tombstones, presence of an ocean on one side of the overworld, I think it's a safe bet. FYI, the "era-specific" portion referenced that it was just the California Territory at the time, also called Alta California by some) 2. )ding *applause*5. )ding *applause*6. )ding Wow! You've done it! 7. )ding )ding )ding *applause applause applause*8. )ding *applause*You've got this "In Other Words" game down well Scotty. 1.- Washington? He is from Seattle after all. (Bonus: Little Mac from SUPER Punch Out! is from Seattle too, according to Fight Night Round 2, as opposed to the black haired one who's from the Bronx)3.- Super Punch Out. 4.- I'm posstive one is at Chapter 8 after you beat Zoda, before you walk out of the last dungeon, it's already playing the overworld spaceship theme song. Then there's Chapter 6 when you find Dr.Jones' location, and the Sub C submerges, Mike goes into a dungeon that has 3 rooms that are a straight line, each darker than the last, and the Sub C overworld theme song is playing. 1. )buzz (but Scotty got it anyway) 3. )boxingbell * ringside applause* 4. You got what I felt were the hardest one (Chapter 6) and the easiest one (chapter 8, after beating Zoda) of the "potential" three. )dingdingding *applause* The rooms surrounding Zoda Prime both have overworld music (the exit and the narrowing room), so I wanted to clarify that it could be viewed as 2 or 3 instances overall. So I think my questions are answered for now. Anyone else got anything?

That sounds like the beginning of something big there! What did you use to make the song? The only suggestion I'd have is in-line with Hope's. If you had the ability to add a timpani or bongo beat in the background (at the beginning or even after the first few seconds as you're leading into the full instrument panel), it could add a bit more depth to the song yet fit in with what is already there, which actually does have a bit of a "tropical vibe" to it already. While I like a lot of the ST2 music, I feel like that with a game called "StarTROPICS," the music at times needed a more tribal or ethnic flare interspersed throughout. The original game did manage to pull this off with its music, but now I'd really like to see more ST2 remixes done with this idea in mind. Keep playing and keep sharing shinigami!

I shall resume with more: (Some of these have a "sarcastic" or other-worldly spin, so keep an open mind ) 1. What's the "state" that Mike was in during ST2, chapter 5 (bonus points if you know the "modern" answer and the "era-specific" answer). 2. If Mike were to ever pull a Bruce Jenner *rolls eyes * and get a sex change, what would his new name most probably be? 3. The team that produced StarTropics 2 also were simultaneously producing another game. What game was this? 4. What are the only 2 times (or depending how you look at it, 3) in ST1 that you hear traditional "overworld" music in a "dungeon"-type setting (overworld, as I'm meaning it here, are those areas that aren't dungeons, aka when Mike/Sub-C are controllable on-screen but not capable of attacking or being attacked, aka... Mike/Sub-C are small... just to clarify in case you think I'm trying to be tricky, lol). IN OTHER WORDS5. Plantains-containing auriculae 6. Huzzah! Thou hast persevered! 7. Ultra stellar hydrogen accretor (wut? ) 8. Hoagie Gamma

1. I realized my mistake... "The big apple is delicious... but nothing happens." I thought that room had a heart (because I remembered where the room is) and the big apple room was elsewhere, when really one of the islands in chapter 6 literally has nothing on it. *bangs head* So yes, 9 big hearts is correct. 2. I think I added an extra one in for chapter 3... maybe? (I thought there was 4 in chapter 3, 3 in ghost tunnel and one... in the hermit's tunnel?) I know chapter 5 has one randomly. 3. I'm sure chapter 6 has more than 3, and I thought chapter 7 had 2? Maybe we've all been playing different StarTropics games all along.

Hmmm *thinks hard*
1. *goes through both games in his head* 10? 2. The absolute minimum? Hmm... I think it's 5? 3. Semi-shot in the dark, as I'm getting myself all twisted up in chapters 5 and 6. I believe 7? *I'm hearing the Price is Right losing horns already* 4. I GOT THIS ONE! Rob Carusocola! 5. I believe it's 12 people and one pig (and not the human kind of pig)... :/ 6. !?!? 69 points... no... idk... uhhhh, 1000?
Ugh... I feel like that racked my brain more than it should have...

1: Pointy Ears 2. Rare 3. I was thinking about this one for a few minutes (and about how it's debatable since you can fall into some boar-filled areas multiple times, and some of the areas are even randomized) although after re-reading the question I am happy to report that the answer is zero. 4. Based on the appearance of the building, I believe that it is the British Museum? 5: ? 6: ? 7: Ultra Psychic Shockwave 8: Cactus Dance? Thanks for even more awesome questions Coralcola! I have thought of a few questions of my own, although I want to double check some of my answers before I post them. So stay tuned! The 6 you are answered are indeed correct MJ! *applause* 1: I wonder if Mica is actually Hylian... or maybe Argonia=Hyrule? *Brain explodes* 2. What a barbarian. 3. It is indeed 0 in ST 1. My trickery almost worked! However though, I want my questions to be tough, but not masochistic. My answer for wild boars in ST2 is... "a lot." 4. I made it a point when I was in London to see the British Museum, as it has one of the greatest collections of art and sculpture in the world. I would bet money on the museum in chapter 4 being the British Museum for a few reasons. - A. It was around and publicly open in the time of Sherlock Holmes and even long before him (established 1753).
- B. It's within walking distance of Baker Street in London (though not as close as the game would make it seem)
- C. The main entrance to the museum is along a major street (great Russell street) and almost directly across from another street. This is fairly unique, as many museums in London have gardens/parks in their front and/or are built in squares, such as the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square (the other major contender I believe.)
- D. A big giveaway is the architecture depicted, as you said MJ. A wide, tall building with a set-in entryway featuring large doric or ionic columns. While this could also fit the National Gallery, the following reason doesn't fit for the National Gallery.
- E. Remember the fence surrounding the place in the game, with attached lanterns? That fence is still there at the British museum, as well as the lanterns, and look at this image of the museum I just found from the 19th century:
So yeah, long-winded, but I'm convinced. 7. Ultra or Super Psychic Shockwave would work here! 8. A cactus is considered a succulent plant. You got the idea down with this game! This leaves 5 and 6 for "In Other Words." MJ can go through his round of questions next then.

Welcome Hope! I checked out your Deviantart page and saw tons of Nintendo fanart. I'd be really interested to see your spin on ST (especially Mike and his copious bananas). Just don't get any ideas about doing any Bronies/ST crossover art... Interesting question, if you don't mind me asking. I noticed the Lebanese flag on one of your pictures. Are you from Lebanon? If so, how exactly did you hear about ST? To my knowledge, ST was not physically released in Lebanon. Was it via the eShop channel, Twitch, videos online, Nintendo history research... ?

Good work MJ! I'm wondering how exactly you took the pics. Review mode on an emulator? So S2H got 5 and MJ has 2 for this round. *applause* Here's some more: 1. What physical trait is shared by both Mica and Link? 2. How does Mike like his meat cooked (innuendo aside)? 3. How many wild boars are in ST1? 4. What museum was Mike most likely visiting in ST2 Chapter 4? (A toughie, it's not explicitly stated in the game, and if you haven't been to London, this may require some research. However, I am more than 99% sure of this one, and I can prove it after we get the answer if needed). New game time! This is called "In Other Words"Basically, I'm going to post the name of something in ST (person, place, thing, phrase, idea, trilobyte, gigabyte), but... in other words (using descriptions, synonyms, nicknames, adjectives, etc.). Just tell me then how we most commonly hear it/know it as. 5. Malfunctioning Coffee 6. Plane Case Hoppers 7. Hyper Clairvoyant Tremor 8. Succulent Shuffle Good luck!

Time to resurrect another old topic! *I blame another crazy ZodaStone stream* 1. How many bowling balls are featured in ST1? Scotty2. At least how old is the fourth oldest in all the islands? Scotty3. How many Island Chiefs can you talk to/meet in ST1? Scotty4. Who was it that drew the symbols that gave you the clue to get through the maze in Yum-Yum's lair? Scotty5. How many projectile shooters are in Maxie's room? Scotty6. Where in the series is the first mention of putting bananas in you ears? MJ7. Captain Bell's parrot was who? MJ

Okay... stay with me here: It's been a few years now since I've played with the level editor, and I wanted to figure out where I was at when I left off designing new dungeons. I dl-ed the newest ST3, and can create new dungeons just fine (though I'm trying to still figure out the cutscene part and how to get stairs to work). However, I can't get my old dungeons to open. I remember passing them through the Level Converter a few years back, but I don't know if that's related to this, if this is simply a directory issue, or something else. Upon trying to open an old dungeon, I first get this message: Here's an image of the screen: Hitting continue has it idle forever and spinny circle continuously go, while hitting quit kills it, but another error message comes up: System is Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 64-Bit. So are my old dungeons just eff-ed now, or does something else need to be done?

A thought:
Since there are a number of regulars who stream ST 1 & 2 on Twitch, is there a way that we can include on the forum some kind of bot that makes it so whenever they stream, a notice (on the front banner or elsewhere) goes up that people can easily find? It could also be a way people can catch up on a stream they might have missed. A way to actually watch the stream live here on the forum would also be kind of cool, but I don't think that would be particularly easy or smiled upon.
It may be as simple as finding some kind of forum-compatible widget that just identifies anybody on Twitch, in general, who is streaming ST at any time, and then have a solid link to the regulars (zodastone, DarkTerrex, exods, etc.).
