Hey everyone, it's me again! I'm back again with a few new tricks up my sleeve, in order to show my favorite game franchise the love it deserves, in as many ways as I can. This time... I've tackled MUSIC. Be warned, I'm a complete noob at this, but I do enjoy StarTropics music. And I what I'm sharing here is STEP 1 of my biggest StarTropics tribute yet. I hope you guys enjoy it! soundcloud.com/rock-dj-2/another-chance-instrumental

I personally think it sounds really great overall. The percussion could be a little better, but otherwise a really great remix of the Zoda's Revenge dungeon theme.

Forget the Hollywood mess. If I was host, I'd have Wheel tape on C-Island. :)

That sounds like the beginning of something big there! What did you use to make the song? The only suggestion I'd have is in-line with Hope's. If you had the ability to add a timpani or bongo beat in the background (at the beginning or even after the first few seconds as you're leading into the full instrument panel), it could add a bit more depth to the song yet fit in with what is already there, which actually does have a bit of a "tropical vibe" to it already. While I like a lot of the ST2 music, I feel like that with a game called "StarTROPICS," the music at times needed a more tribal or ethnic flare interspersed throughout. The original game did manage to pull this off with its music, but now I'd really like to see more ST2 remixes done with this idea in mind. Keep playing and keep sharing shinigami!

I appreciate the replies. Even though I worked hard on this (The bass was by far the hardest part), I know I can still improve it further. The bongos and timbali are good ideas, I've been experimenting with them, and I think I can sneak them in here and there. I used LMMS. I had no prior knowledge of this software of any kind. I just picked it up, and got the hang of it in a few hours. One of the last things I noticed I could do was raise/lower specific note volumes, which will help me fix some really akward moments in my remix. (Had to add some instruments to reinforce specific notes, but ended up butchering a little part for the sake of volume). Anyway, thanks again! Oddly enough, I've put this project on a really small hiatus (until monday) since I'm working on an unrelated animated video.
