The Wii, while staying relatively under the radar (what with all the PS3 hype), will probably come out on top.
1) The PS3's release numbers have dropped from 400,000 units in the US to only about 150,000 units (if that). The supposed unit-count for the Wii's release in the US (I have heard) is about 4 million...10 times the PS3's original estimate!
2) $600 is a ridiculous price-tag for a PS3. $250 is reasonable...plus it comes with a game!!!
3) Sony still hasn't really gotten the whole idea of the "online community". Microsoft has grasped it completely...and I believe that Nintendo, along with the VC, will get the picture faster than Sony has.
4) It hasn't even hit store floors yet, and already the PS3 is having troubles (mainly over in Japan, where it has been out for about a week now) with its hardware, blu-ray technology, and the online aspect of certain games.
[EDIT]I'm crediting all of this knowledge that I have, btw, to the wonder and God's gift to the world that is known as G4 Videogame TV...more specifically: Attack of the Show. If you have G4...I trust that you already know of this amazing program and if you haven't...shame on you.[/EDIT]

The PS3 is now released, but I'm sure the Wii will stay on top.

Definitely the Wii! ;D The VC was something that should have been incorporated into systems years ago, and the price, of course, is SOOOO much more reasonable. Plus, I'd like to see someone play Halo or Grand Theft Auto while pointing their controller at the TV screen. That new controller, alone, is the icing on the cake! The only people, I suspect, that will buy a PS3 are those that want future Grand Theft Auto's, PS diehards / Nintendo bashers, and those that wanna try and go on an ego trip: "I just bought a $600 VG system!!! WOAH! I'm SO COOL!!!"

Sony Does Have Some Good Titles under Their Belt, Like Final Fantasy For Instance.

I was actually gonna ask that question earlier MJ... Who, here, if anyone, has gotten or will SOON be getting the PS3? Who will be getting the Wii before the end of the year also? As for camping out MJ, have fun! LOL That's one of the reasons I've never gotten a system right after it was released. Usually, places around home are completely sold out. But, after even just a couple of months, usually, the prices have dropped a bit, there are more then just 10 or so titles released for a system, and any problems, if there were any, with the console usually have been resolved... However, I may have to splurge and get it right after XMAS. The VC, LOZ game, SSB Brawl, and the interfacing controller all have me jumping... ;D

I'm heading to wal-mart tomorrow to hopefully pick up a Wii as well. I'm not the camping out sort so I probably won't go there any earlier than 11:30 or 11:45 at night. Hopefully I'll get one since I need my Zelda fix. If not, I'll try a different store in the morning.
I have no intentions of getting a PS3. $600 is way to ridiculous for a gaming system.

I Live On The East Coast Of Canada & The PS3 Is $699.99 Here. People Were Buying Multiple Systems & Selling Them On EBay For $1600. Most Of My Friends Are Wii Bashers Because They Say Since The Game Cube Nintendo Only Makes "Kiddie" Games.

All the listings that are ridiculous like a $20,000 bid are people who are fraud-bidding...basically saying to these people "You're ridiculous for doing this...stop!"

Wow thats pretty bad. If I don't get a Wii I'm not going to go on ebay and buy one (even if it wasn't that expensive). I can wait.

On Inside Edition, they showed a PS3 that costed over thirty-thousand dollars. Inside Edition also said that a PS3 customer got shot waiting in line.
K-Mart near my home will have 8 Wiis, while the Wal*Mart near my home didn't want to tell how many they will obtain, but they'll be selling a minimum of 20. I don't know about Electronic Boutique (EB Games), Software ETC., Best Buy, Circuit City, nor other places.
Back in November 18TH, 2001, before I bought a GCN during it's release, I saw a meteor shower. The best meteor I saw lasted for almost one second, while it left a trail of smoke.
