Why does every town in ST end with the word 'Cola'? Did Nintendo have a partnership with Coca-Cola at the time the game was released?

Not rightly sure...could just be that the "-cola" suffix just sounds tropical so they used it hehe.

They could've had a partnership with Pepsi-Cola ya know too (Pepsi-Cola is the drink's full name after all). It would definitely explain why the islanders seem to love soft drinks so much, LOL... In reality, maybe this link might explain where the suffix -COLA actually came from. It does have a soda link too, which makes it even more plausible... www.solarnavigator.net/solar_cola/cola_nuts.htm

That's a very informing article, coralcola! And it does shed a bit more light on the origin of the -COLA suffix in soda and possible StarTropics as well!
