Hi, I'm new around here. I started to play again Star Tropics some days ago after many years (god it's pretty hard!) and I found many catchy tunes. Oh, I signed the petition for the comeback too! So, does anyone knows who is the composer of these games?

You mean the creator? If so...it was Genyo Takeda. If you were talking about the music, then it was Y. Hirai (not very specific, but that's all that GameFAQs came up with...and he's listed under "Sound Composition" so I assumed that meant music too.
Oh...and hey...welcome to the boards! ;D

Forget the Hollywood mess. If I was host, I'd have Wheel tape on C-Island. :)

Welcome geng! ;D Does your name stand for anything? It sounds a lot like Genyo Takeda's first name, strangely enough, though I'm pretty sure that you didn't do that on purpose... Thanks for signing the petition too! Tell everybody you can about it, and try and have them sign it, if you can. Enjoy the boards!

Thank you! So the music composer is "Y. Hirai". Google doesn't show many entries for this composer. The ST typical caribean beats are very good.
And about my nickname... Actually is a shortening of Gengar, the pokémon (my former nick). Since in most RPG games you can only enter 4 letters as your nickname, Gengar became GenG. That's the story ;D
