That shouldn't really stop any production of a fan game...they just don't need to find out about it Exactly... I nominate this as line of the month for February. I hope you gellin and Matt are taking heed of this as well...

Haha, the odds of Nintendo finding out about this without someone telling them is slim to none. Heck if Nintendo were that smart, then the Game Maker Community would be virtually dead.

If I ever do work for Nintendo (which is one of my life dreams and goals) I don't see why I would ever feel the need to tell somone to stop making a fan game (unless you are selling it, which I am sure no one on this board ever will).

That's a great point haha. Nobody who had any aspirations of making video games who didn't actually work for a big name company would be shut down immediately...and that's sad.

OH, YOU BURST MY BUBBLE!!! WAAAAHHHAAHAHA!!!! Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd think that releasing a new ST fan game before ST was released for the Revolution would actually create a desire and demand for ST on the system. You need to get your product's name out there if you expect people to remember it and buy it. However, I don't see that theory being tested as much by the VG companies as much as I think it should. What a surprise...

.....I know of an even better level editor that has been advertised on T.V. but....this isn't a board to talk about stuff like that. Nintendo hates it and it breaks copyright laws. But if you don't sell it for profit or anything and never sell it I don't see a problem.
