...that had a picture of a page of Nintendo Power containing a cheat code for Startropics? If so, which thread was it in?

Hmm I don't recall there ever being a Nintendo Power page scan with a cheat code for Startropics on it. Is it possible that you are talking about the frequency code that you need to enter in Chapter 4? If so the code is 747.

It wasn't the 747 frequency code - I know that one full well
It was from the "Classified Information" page, and it had a cheat code for either StarTropics or Star Tropics 2. I might have just seen it on another website and, since this board is about StarTropics, assumed that it was on this site.
Do you happen to remember any cheat codes for StarTropics (1 or 2) that was talked about on the Classified Information pages in Nintendo Power?

If you know the Issue # of the NP Issue you saw it in, or the game featured on the cover, I could look it up for you. I have almost all of the NP issues (with a few missing) from 1988 to 2001 in a .zip that I downloaded from BitTorrent.
I also looked online for any ST cheat codes, and unfortunately, most of my results yield "747 for Chapter 5" and "ROB makes a cameo apperance as Nav-Com" or something to that effect.
