I've only beaten Star Tropics I once. After that I went away from it for a long time and now I'm working on my second time through it. I have never played Star Tropics II.

I've beaten StarTropics at least a dozen times...and Zoda's Revenge at least twice as many. For some reason, Zoda's Revenge just seems easier to beat than the original. Is it just me? Or does anyone else think that too?

I have actually only beaten Star Tropics and Zoda's Revenge once, but I have seen them beat dozens of times. I could tell you just as much about it as someone who has played it a dozen times.

Haha...yeah I know of games like that. Games that I've never played but could easily beat them if I ever did play them. Good times...

Oh Jesus, I've beaten Startropics at least over 30 times. But come on, I've been playing it for 12 years! That's rather pitiful.
I'm such a traitor...

Ditto that. I've beaten each at least 20 or 30 times, but I've had ST I since it first came out in 1990, and ST II since it first came out in 94, so I've had the greatest possible time to play them that one could. I was just playing ST I over the weekend, and it's really sad that now that I've played it for so long, I can make it through the tunnels without once getting hurt or dying... If I had an entire day to boot, I could probably go through and beat both games in their entirety before I'd have dinner that night... Oh well, its fan obsession at work again!!

Honest to God, I have beaten Startropics well over 100 times. It was the only halfway decent NES game I had so I would sit down and beat it all in one day usually.
I didn't know ST 2 existed until a few years ago, I've only beaten that one maybe 3 or 4 times.

I've played StarTropics over and over. I can play it anywhere on my GBA with my GBA flash card, so if I'm on the road, I don't need to wait to get back to my nintendo in my house.

I've been playing StarTropics a bunch lately...trying to figure out new challenges on how to beat it. Just the other day I went through it without picking up any of the big hearts and also not picking up any medicines. It kinda added a challenge...but not really. Anyone else have any ideas for challenges?

Many times... does it count if you just pick up the last magic cube in review mode over and over again?

Uncountable... I guess about 20 to 30 times.

I've beaten Startropics I multiple times, but I've only beaten Startropics II once. A few years afterward, I was afraid that the save battery would expire, so I decided to hook my NES up to the VCR so I could tape the ending, which IMO is not as cool as the ending in Startropics II. The slideshow isn't as long and besides, it's not in full color.

My favorite ending was ST II because it was supposed to end the story (in a very touching way indeed), but my favorite slideshow would be ST's. Watching it, if you hadn't played the game, one would immediately be interested by what the pictures are showing, and how intriguing the story they're trying to tell is. You get closer up and more detailed pics of Mike, the picture of Zoda's robots gives a nice close up view in the spaceship, and the picture of Zoda himself is jarring. It really makes me think that if I was in Mike's spot there that I'd be going Nucking Futs!!!
