Did you know Startropics makes minor appearances in other Nintendo games? In PilotWings 64 there is a stage called C-island. Also in F-Zero X, F-Zero GX, and F-Zero GP Legend there is a character named Zoda. It may not seem like much, but at least in a way Nintendo kind of remembers Startropics. Lets just hope both Startropics games comes to Wii Virtual Console and Mike Jones is a Smash Bro. character. The least Nintendo can do is make a Startropics trophy in Super Smash Brawl (if they have trophies). Please bring this game back to life Nintendo... By the way, I'm Natendo and I'm new here. This is a nice site ! It's nice to see there are other Startropics fans out there.

I knew that C-Island appeared in Pilotwings 64, but the stage is actually called "Crescent Island". It also appears during the title opening.

Wow, that's pretty cool! Welcome to the boards, too!
I'm pretty sure that Pilotwings was developed by the ird team, who did StarTropics.

Forget the Hollywood mess. If I was host, I'd have Wheel tape on C-Island. :)

F-Zero I knew about, but Pilotwings 64 having a place called C-Island is interesting... Hopefully the reemergence of classic VG's will bring ST with it *prays for it*. Welcome to the boards!

I knew that C-Island appeared in Pilotwings 64, but the stage is actually called "Crescent Island". It also appears during the title opening. That island looks a lot like the C-Island from Startropics (especially because of the little island in the middle of it.) It goes to show that someone at Nintendo was still thinking about Startropics.

you know, this is the perfect thread to mention something i noticed... in Ocarina of Time, there's on point at which young Link needs to stop water from flowing into Kakariko well. he does this by standing under the source of the water - a skull on the wall - and playing his ocarina. doesn't that sound a bit familiar, except in reverse? =D
btw, if my post is impossible to read, it's because I'm posting on my new Wii, and it's hard to keep my words flowing while hunting and pecking lol
