ALL VILLAGERS... REJOICE! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D GameSpotPosted April 1st, 2007 1:15p.m. ET Some classic gamers are rejoicing today, as Nintendo of America and Camelot, makers of the critically acclaimed Golden Sun series, announced they are working on a third installment of the NES game series StarTropics. Starring the protagonist Mike Jones, StarTropics is an adventure game that was originally criticized as copying many of the same aspects of the Legend of Zelda. The game takes place primarily in the South Pacific, with Jones battling the evil Zoda to save an alien race from extinction. Rumors have been spreading for months around online communities about the StarTropics series being revived, after rumors began that the StarTropics characters could be making an appearance in the newest installment of Super Smash Brothers, entitled Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Camelot nor Nintendo has confirmed if Mike Jones or other StarTropics characters will be featured in Brawl, or a date for the game's release. The game is expected to be completed by the end of 07, with a release in the first or second quarter of 08. Camelot was quoted as saying "We plan on adhering to what originally made StarTropics so popular and unique, while incorporating the newest technologies of Nintendo's Wii console to create an adventure game unlike any other." No other details of featured characters or plot have been revealed. GameSpot articleYAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

It has been a dying trend, because, at this point, an April Fool's joke is so mainstream, and so expected that usually the joke doesn't across as it was intended. Every forum I'm on had an April Fool's joke of some kind happen. One of them, the sole moderator (of a 3000+ person forum at that), said he was gonna leave (which he had been threatening before) due to outrageous members and ridiculous posts giving everyone headaches. I figured it was a gag (I know the guy well), and lots of others did too, but some didn't, and immediate worryment ensued...
