It definitely deserves yet but IMO it should be higher.

Yeah startropics deserves at least 5th or 6th, but I definately think metroid deserves first. (even though i already knew samus was female )

Forget the Hollywood mess. If I was host, I'd have Wheel tape on C-Island. :)

The fact that ST made a top 10 list anywhere on gamefaqs (I don't remember another instance when it did), makes me happy right there. I would've at least put it at 4 or 5, personally (or #1, LOL), but I can't complain. Gotta agree with having SMB2 and 3, MM2, and Metroid on the list. Metroid is a prime candidate for the best VG ending of all-time, and the most prime candidate for most shocking VG ending of all-time, no doubt...

I firmly agree with all three of you.

I am not surprised that Metroid was ranked #1 for best NES ending.

I am not surprised that Metroid was ranked #1 for best NES ending. Perhaps back then, many people thought Samus Aran was male.

Definitely should be higher. I love Mario games, but Mario Bros 2 and 3 should NOT be that high on the list. I count the return to C-Island and meeting the townsfolk after you beat Zoda part of the ending, so that's awesome, and then the 'slideshow' with the artwork of the game highlights is the best part.
