When I was reading the Wikipedia article about Nintendo, it told me that Nintendo owns the Seattle Mariners. Michael Jones is a baseball player who lives in Seattle, and the Ken Griffey Jr. baseball titles are developed and released by Nintendo of America (as well as Software Creations). This might have been another reason why Nintendo didn't release both StarTropics titles in Japan.

Forget the Hollywood mess. If I was host, I'd have Wheel tape on C-Island. :)

Possibly, but there are plenty of non-sports fans (myself included), who really didn't care if MJ was named after a sports person (or would've known enough about sports to recognize the name MJ). Inconsequential in the game's marketing, in my book, just a neat/random factoid for ST fans... I've convinced myself that ST had a great chance of becoming an enormous hit if Nintendo had decided to release it in Japan. If, oh if *starts playing the "IF" game*...
