Any updates on ST3 gellin? It's been awhile since we've heard from you gellin... As for your problem MJ, I've been playing with it a bit, and I think my two pics will perfectly describe what I've found... Before adding a person: After adding a person: Uh huh, that's different! LOL

Yep. Thats it. I didn't notice it happening to the tree and castle walls though.

I have a pretty good idea what the problem is. I'll make sure it's fixed for the next update. I haven't been working on the game at all since the last update. I've been too busy playing Wii and beating Zelda ;D I also have been working on the sthq website. I have the layout and everything working perfectly now, not just a picture created in paint. Now that the layout is complete I am working on adding the content to the pages. You can expect the site to be up and running sometime before the end of the year. After that's up and working fine, I'm going to start work again on the game.

That's looking pretty good. I need to make progress on mine sometime (IE. after I finish my computer science class.)

Good news everyone. I've finally got back to working on the game/editor again and I'll be releasing a new version later on in the week (probably next weekend). This update will include the ability to create a project that contains all of your overworld/villages/dungeons and modify all of those rooms just by opening a single file. Also added is the ability to link to these areas together so you can actually create a full game now almost. I'm just testing things to make sure it's all working correctly before I release it. I set something up in my test earlier today that allowed me to start in the overworld and go into coralcola village, then enter the stairs to the first dungeon, then at the end of the dungeon appear back on the overworld at the cave. Things are definitely shaping up nicely. Edit: I forgot to mention that once again, your rooms will need to be converted over to my new format. This is guaranteed to be the last conversion that will ever need to be made. I don't really feel like making a converter program for it though so you have to email me all of your dungeons and I'll convert them for you and email them back to you. You will need to send me the dungeons and I'll throw them all into one project file (one game). If you have want multiple project files, make sure you specify which dungeons belong in which project. Also, I wanted to mention this earlier but forgot. That is one ugly color scheme you have on your computer coralcola

It's great to hear the game is progressing again. I'll send you my levels so expect to get them soon.
P.S. About my recent absence, I've been studying and doing exams so I wasn't on the computer to much.

Well thanks a lot gellin. That's one of my game show themes. Ya like my MV theme better? If blue and red aren't favorites, pink and purple must be right up your alley! I hate plain white windows, especially when I'm typing... Oh, and good to hear ST3 is back in the workings again, it's been a little while.

I finally go the new update up and running on my site. Go there to check out the what's changed and download the new version. I would also appreciate it if STIII related things (bugs, questions, whatever) were posted in the ST3 forum over at my site. Just a reminder, the site can be found at startropicshq.com

For those of you who don't check my site, another version of the game/editor is available for download. This one allows you to fully customize the dialog spoken by each villager. This, combined with the last update which allowed you to combine all of the dungeons, villages, and overworld is the last major update that had to be done so now anyone can create a full ST game with the editor.

That's awesome! It's good to hear that you've stuck to this for so long. Now we have the StarTropics equivalent of Zelda Classic at our fingertips! This community is indebted to you, gellin. I tip my hat to you.

I'm not letting my interest in this die. Can someone tell me which OS you're using, and whether or not the game works on that OS? I use ME, and 98 and ME don't seem to like the game.

I use XP and the game works fine. Something is telling me it's probably your OS.

That's what I figured, since everyone here seems to have XP and the game works fine, while I don't have XP and the game doesn't
