This is really great, Gellen. Will there be new weapons? Instead of custom dungeon it'll be a custom quest pretty much.

I think his main goal at the moment is to make the game actually run like the game. Once everything functions properly it will be easier for him to add in more things to it, basically hes doing the same thing he has been doing and just adding more and more key features as it goes. Hes honestly doing a great job for the resources he started with... Started with game maker and now this!? Pretty much amazing if you ask me. -Miles

I found a problem while playing a dungeon. If I am going from a normal room to a wide room and I enter the wide room going up on the left side of the room for some reason I will end up on the left of the room. In case you didnt understand that I made this. I should end up where the green arrow points but Instead I end up where the yellow square is.

It's because he coded it to where the wide area acts like a small room. the area that's larger than a regular room would be cannot be scolled into.

I actually thought that problem would occur MJ but then I got distracted by different stuff and never did fix it. I'll look into it when I get some time. I have a new update up for download. This will most likely be my last update until I get the website up and running.
This one adds the ability to create villages. Right now when playing the villages, there is no collision turned on so you can expect to walk anywhere in the level. Also the people are lifeless. This will all change eventually. There is also a few new objects/items added to the overworld. I also fixed that crashing problem that was happening for CKY2K.

Cool update Gellin. Now I can finally try out my overworld without it crashing. The village update is also great. Do you plan on making the tile set for underground?

I'm still getting that "freeze" when loading a dunegon/overworld from the game menu... If I had a good screen recorder I would post a video of the game doing it... Really the only way to recreate it I can think of is just to "play the game" honestly. Usually it happens something like this.
1. Open the game. 2. Advance to the next menu from the main menu. 3. Start your game.
freeze, press alt+f4, repeat until game doesn't freeze.
It's weird...

Sorry I haven't been able to try it out yet gellin, it's been hectic on my end, for certain reasons... I'll try and get to it over the weekend. I'm especially excited to create that village I've had in mind for awhile now...

Well, as always, excellent job gellin! Another great update! Now if we can only get Miss Coral to start shaking her stuff again, we'll have it made... ;D I have a couple of questions (as always, what else is new), which are similar to things I've asked before. 1. Do you plan on using any village sprites from ST2? In particular, I REALLY LOVE the Coralcola sprites from ST2, with the chief's hut having a balcony (!!), all the palm trees looking really cool, and everything looking more tropical/natural/vegetative... 2. Weird question alert, have you considered making "new" people? I.e., have some with blonde hair, have some with red hair, maybe some more dark-skinned people besides Baboo? You gotta believe, living in the tropics, that most of the people down there have had to develop some kind of good tan!! Otherwise, sweet!

I don't plan on putting the ST2 sprites in any time soon. I'm definately not against it but it just won't be in the near future.
New villagers has crossed my mind before. Especially more tanned villagers. I never thought about different hair colors but that could be done as well. Those will be put in eventually. I'm not really sure when but those are much easier to do than the village sprites.

I haven't tried the new update yet...but I just wanted to be the 747th poster in this thread haha.
SPAMMMMM!!!!
btw...I do believe that some of the ST2 sprites from Coralcola could look really cool (like the Chief's hut, building walls, etc.)

Should gellin reward you with a free copy of his ST3?? Anyhow, I had guessed that when you wanted to incorporate some of the better ST2 enemies gellin, you'd also incorporate the appropriate ST2 overworld sprites as well. Can we look forward to that for XMAS 08?

I found a problem.
If you are making a village and you place a person on a room that has water on it the water will turn really weird.
I would post a picture but I don't know how to take screen shots on the laptop i'm using.
