I have known about the following 2 things for a while (One which is really olbvious) but I never thought about posting them before now.
The first thing is in the room right after you defeat Maxie (the big ghost) if you use the rod of sight a ghost will appear. Unfortuneatly killing the ghost does nothing.
The second thing (somthing I'm sure we've all found) is after you kill the Jet Pack Jumper in the 2nd space level you will notice that there is a cracked wall behind where he was. If you hit the wall then proceed into the secret room there is nothing there.
Am I missing somthing or are these secrets just there for no reason?

I've noticed both of those and as far as I know they are absolutely pointless.

Yep, I've noticed them both too, and my final opinion/idea/thought is that the developers WERE planning to do something in each of those rooms, maybe add a medicine in the spaceship, or include a special item that can be used later on after Maxie (maybe a special weapon?) but after testing the game, or going through a final lookover, took them out, thinking it would either make things too easy, or that certain things that were there were just flack and unnecesary. This is the logic I use with the whole Po's Poem idea. Think about it, by actually writing down or memorizing Po's Poem, and being able to type it in later on when that guy asks you, a world of things could've happened! You could've gotten a big heart, another weapon (which would've meant there would be a weapon upgrade just about every other level: 1, 3, very beginning of 6, and end of 7, a pattern?), or an extra life... It's always interesting to think about and learn what ideas/features developers originally put in a video game, but take out before the final release...

I've noticed these things as well. Also, (again in the Ghost Tunnel), in the room with the 2 invisible ghosts and the two sections of water right before the doors, nothing happens if you go back and kill the two ghosts after getting the Rod of Sight. Perhaps the point of these 2 ghosts was just to perplex the gamer? Who knows.
