For those of you who don't like spoilers... Yes, there's spoilers below. Just giving you guys the heads up. ;DI believe there's two sides to every story... So it can be assumed that the Argonians weren't completely innocent. So, I suppose the real question, is... what if Zoda was really the good guy? We'd never know the whole truth. He was depicted as the bad guy, as the evil alien who was bent on wiping out the Argonian race, but that may not be his only intention. There could very well be more to it. Suppose the Argonians were threatening Zoda's world/people, and they were defending themselves. In the process they killed countless Argonians, so Hirocon and his children left in hopes of avoiding a similar fate. Perhaps Zoda, seeing them as a threat, went after them. Later, when Dr. Jones was exploring the ruins, he found the spaceship, containing the Magic Cubes. He was abducted because he knew about it and its whereabouts. Dr. Jones wasn't harmed, as far as I could tell. I haven't played Star Tropics for some time, I'll have to go through it again to refresh my memory. With that said, I can only go off what I remember. Oh, and this is all for fun. So feel free to pitch any of your theories and/or ideas in. And yes, I know very well that Zoda's really the "bad guy." I just like to use my imagination.

Ooooh! ;D I haven't actually considered the two-sided theory with ST before, but I'm with you Cheesy. It's one of those things you'll never ever know given the relatively little info we were provided about Zoda's and Argonia's pasts in the games. It's also fun to think about things like this... Imagination ROCKS!!!

That's certainly an interesting theory to consider, Cheesy. However, there's one thing to this theory that isn't really consistent with the games: Zoda, whenever he's interacting with Mike, is always calling him a pitiful human and even refers to himself as the "Prime Invader". If it wasn't for those two things, I would consider the validity of your theory a bit more.
It's definitely a very creative theory...props for that.

Nice guys rarely introduce themselves as the Prime Invader. Good point. Well, it's still an interesting idea to consider. Though I doubt any of us here would stake our lives on that opinion though...
