Remember when we got Super Mario All-Stars on the SNES that included SMB, SMB-The Lost Levels, SMB2 and SMB3? Well, why not have something similar with the Star Tropics series? Have Star Tropics All-Stars for a newer console or handheld. Some of the younger ST fans did not have a chance to experience the Star Tropics series on the NES. So this might be a good idea for them to experience it.

That probably wouldn't happen. I mean, the series only has two games in it. Well, okay, so did the Mother series, and they got Mother 1+2 for the GBA. But Nintendo seems to show little interest in StarTropics.
The best shot it probably has is the virtual console. It's highly probable that you will be able to download it onto the Wii for a a few dollars or so (depending on what Nintendo's price will be). If a lot of people get the StarTropics games on their Wii (which they most likely will, judging by the various Internet communities I've been to), Nintendo might consider bringing it back. Perhaps even bringing it to Japan this time.
You hear that, folks? In addition to signing the petition, the revival of a radical dead series might even cost less than a soft drink or two from a vending machine… Heck, I'm putting this in my signature. XD

I am with Cleveland Rock on this one. If they wanted to bring it back they probably would of made it part of the "Classic NES Series" for GBA.
P.S. Sorry about going off topic but will Startropics 1 and 2 be availible to Japan to download?

We don't even know if they'll be available to download in the USA yet. But, hey, if Sonic the Hedgehog is available for download, why not StarTropics?

After taking a look at the Wii, I'd never touch it. All these newer controllers are just too weird, even if they're trying to be original.

I can imagine, I can hope, I can prey, but I won't expect... I would love if it happened (REALLY, I WOULD), but if I really, truly, expect it, there is at least a 50% chance I'll be let down, and those aren't good odds if you ask me...

What's this about StarTropics not being released in Japan? Was it seriously not ever put out over there, and if so, why not? Was Nintendo ashamed of it or something?

It's true but I'm not sure of the reason if there are any good ones.

You're correct zombie, ST wasn't released in Japan, though I don't know if the exact reasoning was ever discovered. I seriously doubt *and hope likewise* that it was b/c Nintendo was ashamed of it...
