I like te name Revolution. And that's gonna be what I continue to call it. I also heard that the Rev. will have a wireless function in it to support the DS, sense nothing else so far does. I don't know, though. But now that I know that a lot of my fav. games (ST 1/2, Kirby 64, Mario RPG, etc.) are gonna be on it, I really hope I can get it.

To be more than frank about this... That's a load of bullnuts (and you can bleep/edit this post if you moderators feel necessary to do it), but that is how I really feel. The name Revolution was to symbolize a new era in video gaming, a unification of all video gaming knowledge to create the most incredible and technology ridden console ever created. This whole Wii thing is nothing more than NOA trying to pull on somebody's heartstrings (maybe the overprotective/video game despising parents of America?), and create some pre-release talk about how they're so great that with their Wii system, they're trying to unite everyone and blah blah blah... As you can tell, I'm not exactly thinking this was a good move by NOA...

I don't think anyone thinks it was a good move and there is no reason to edit your posts. In this thread everyone oppinion is welcome.

I hate the new name. Revolution was a great name and represented what they want. I bet they buckled under the pressure of the parents not wanting their kids to be swayed or duped into the idea that the Revolution will be a great system for their new violent games, etc.
Or I could be completely wrong. It's happened before lol ;D

The name Wii isn't any good and Revolution is a good name, but I don't think it's as big of an issue as it's being made out to be by gamers.

I pretty much second all your opintions of the Wii, of course everyone knows how hard of a time microsoft/sony fanboys will have making fun of the console.
So lemme just take hold of the Wii here...
OMG guys i just got a Wii!!
Oh, man I love my Wii, especially how small and compact it is! The list goes on and on...
But the point is, if it was named the nintendo "DooDoo" I'd buy it.

I'm pretty sure Mike Jones has a very small chance of entering the next Super Smash Bros., because the StarTropics series was only released in the US and Europe, which you already know.
The StarTropics series isn't the only non-Japanese Nintendo title available, but also Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge (sequel to BattleClash), Uniracers, Short Order/Eggsplode!, and Tin Star.

Oh, man I love my Wii, especially how small and compact it is! Yes, I too have thought of all the bad jokes and bad things to say involving that name... "Mark, what are you doing?" "I'm NES-ing Mom." "Okay..." OR: "Mark, what are you doing?" "I'm Wii-ing (wee-ing) Mom." "WHAT!?" OR: "Hey, you wanna come over and play with my Wii (wee)?" *Gets punched in the face...* OR: *Walks into an electronics store.* "Excuse me sir, my Wii (wee) doesn't work." "Uhhhmmm, I'm sorry kid, we don't fix those here, try talking to your parents about that..." ugh...
