Forget the Hollywood mess. If I was host, I'd have Wheel tape on C-Island. :)

Is anybody here a James Bond fan? I'm 99% sure everyone here has heard of 007, and wondered if anybody kept up with the series. I've been a Bond fan since I was very young, and still thoroughly enjoy watching the movies on DVD. My favorite Bond was Roger Moore, followed very closely by Pierce Brosnan. I'm not too happy that he was thought to be too old by the producers to be let go of the role recently. His time as 007, I believe, was not through and that he was still in his prime with the role.

Iv'e never been a big fan of the movies but I love the video games (Goldeneye is my favourite)! Me and my dad still play multiplayer on them.

I enjoy watching the 007 movies but I've only seen all the ones with Peirce, nothing earlier. I heard though that his contract ran out and he didn't want to do another movie. I could be wrong however.

There was all sorts of controversy about why Brosnan's contract wasn't renewed at first. Originally, he signed a 3 movie contract to play Bond, which took him through Goldeneye to The World is Not Enough. Then, the Broccoli family (who controls the rights to and runs the 007 franchise) wanted him to sign only a one movie contract, which he did and which gave him Die Another Day. From then on, the Broccoli's felt Die Another Day was too "over the top" (even though it was the biggest money maker in Bond movie history) and they wanted to reinvent Bond completely. They got the idea they wanted to have a young Bond in a storyline right after he got his double-0 status. Now, of course, Sony (who owns EON and UA who releases the 007 movies) wanted Pierce back for an assured blockbuster, but the Broccoli's wanted no part of that, so they did a search and found Daniel Craig. In the meanwhile, Pierce wasn't being informed of anything even though he expressed he actually DID very much want to do a new Bond film, so he came out as saying, "if they want me, they know where to find me." Well, they didn't, which brings it all to the where we are now... Filming for "Casino Royale" is supposed to start this month, for a release in November 2006. MSN listed it as one of their top 11 movies to see this year, but I'll wait and see the film before I say if I like it and Craig or not, Pierce will be a tough act to follow. Did ya get all that?
