I Liked SSB For N64 But I Thought The One For Game Cube Was Grody... This Video Is Pretty Dope Tho. It Shows A Few New Characters, Wario, Pit, Zero Suit Samus, Meta Knight & Snake. www.thatlitevideosite.com/video/2369

It should be illegal to not like the SSB for game cube
I saw that on IGN. I don't really like some of the new characters but hopefully there are some good ones that wern't in the intro.

As in one Michael Jones and the Prime Invader Zoda?? ;D ;D ;D I loved the GC one (and I have yet to meet anyone who thinks otherwise), and the video for the new one made me even more excited for the new one. Anyone know of a release date? I've heard it won't be a Wii release title, but I think it will be released before XMas, which means it can't be released that long after... BTW MJ, which characters don't you like in the new one?

Everyone is going to hate me after this.
Snake for one. I just don't think he fits in with the game and I've never really been a Metal Gear Solid fan.
I also don't like Zero Suit Samus because the old Samaus seems better.

I'm with you there cannibal, I would've expected Sonic (who may be the 3rd most recognizable/famous character in video games, only after Mario and Zelda) to be in a SB game by now. However, I don't have a problem with Snake, he's been a known, infamous character in the VG world since the release of Metal Gear for the NES; he and his series also have a substantial history behind them too...

Well, there's bound to be quite a few hidden characters, so there is still a chance. However, I wish the SSB series would have more diverse characters. It seems like they pick a handful of good video game series and milk as many characters from each one as they can. Most notably, Mario, Dr. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, and Yoshi. What really annoys me is that not only do they focus on few series, but they use the same friggin combat styles for multiple characters. For instance, the only difference between Mario and Dr. Mario is that one shoots fireballs and the other shoots pills. Not very original. If you play with all the original characters, you'll notice that the hidden characters all have the same combat style as one of the defaults, I.E. Captain Falcon and Ganondorf.
My point in all this is, I wish they would add more game variety. Wario, the fat idiot thats supposed to be the counterpart of Mario, would probably unlock Waluigi, adding to the number of characters spawned from the Mario series alone. Yet instead they could be adding guys like Mike Jones, or even Megaman. See what I'm saying?

I think I said something similar to ALL of what you said there Matt in another SSB topic. I didn't like how a lot of the characters had the same basic fighting styles, where there was potential for such variety with each individual character... I'm not saying Melee was a bad game (NOT AT ALL!). But, like with most VG's, there's room for improvement... :X

The Worst Thing About The Characters Is That They're Mostly Cutesy Wutesy Powder Puffs... Nintendo Doesn't Have A Series With Any Cooler Or Grittier Characters? I'm Not Sayin Get Rid Of The Less Offensive Lookin Characters, But There Should Be A Balance.
Mario, Luigi, Wario & Waluigi Are All Practically The Same Aside From Color Scheme... Marios Enough, Adding Those Others When They Could Bring In Characters From A Different Series Makes No Sense.

Are they going to make a Mario versus Sonic game? That's what I want to see.

Are they going to make a Mario versus Sonic game? That's what I want to see. Mario Vs Sonic Vs Crash Bandicoot Crash Bandicoot is not owned by Sony Interactive, he is owned by Vivendi-Universal. Perhaps Sony Interactive's mascot is either the protagonists of the Jak & Daxtar series, the Ratchett & Clank series, or the clown of the Twisted Metal series. Sakurai said he is not going to add characters that first appeared in animes, cartoons, and other things than video games. If none of the characters we are hoping for appear in SSBB, then we'll have to create them for M.U.G.E.N., a 2D fighting program that costs free and is available for download. Just search it on Google, Yahoo!, and YouTube.

That was a pretty decent video, Parrothead. I really like the footage you used of Mike...although it would've been useful to put in some footage of him using the Yo-Yo...considering that was his original weapon and should definintely be considered as part of his arsenal if he ever makes it to a SSB game (yeah...I know that Ness used a yo-yo too...big deal).

Very nice job parrothead1983.
Even though I had never heard of some of those characters before I still think they beat some of the current new characters by what your video showed. And of course like everyone else on this board I would like to see Mike in there too! ;D
