You guys, regarding the song when you find the sactuary where the potion is in ST1, I wanted to know what you guys think about it. I think that this is a very serious song and for some reason I think it's from a movie or something. Anways, isn't it relaxing, yet it gets you thinking. I can imagine someone from a psychology course using it for a presentation project on the mind or something....hehe.
I remember the first time I heard it I had more recently seen kindergarten kop and was thinking about what was in the mind of the main villain in that film, which is quite a conicidence.
Anyways, I wanted to say though that some of the songs in the ST series have been sad. Miracola, for example.
Did the ending of ST2 with that music seem emotional to you the first time you beat the game?

#1- welcome to the boards!
#2- Alot of the songs are emotional. Like when you free the people from the magic cube or in the sactuary (like you said) I didn't think the ending song at the credits of ST2 was very emotional because I look at it as more as victory music (some of that song comes from the boss defeatition music)

I second michaeljones' welcome!!!
I do enjoy the amount of emotion that was put into the music of the ST games. I must say, however, that I felt more from the music when releasing the Argonian kids from the Magic Cubes in ST1 than the ending sequence music in ST2...although that could just be me :\

Yes, a lot of the music in ST made me emotional. The music after the children were freed in ST1 is very tear-jerking, along with the slide show music, it wraps up the first game very nicely. At the end of ST2, the music where Mica and Hirocon were reunited was nice, and the credits music just about made me cry near the end when it went into its final few stanzas... Oh yeah, BTW, WELCOME ABOARD!! ;D

The sanctuary song.... I never really paid much attention to it, I always thought it was a bit annoying. The ending to StarTropics 2 however was a bit emotional for me, like coralcola said, the last few stanzas do that to ya.

I wasn't a fan of the face that the Sanctuary music and the Ruins music were the same. I think that they probably could've come up with something different to put in the Ruins...but that's just this player's humble opinion...

The sanctuary song is where you first get the magic potion on the C-island battle level of course and it's played in a level on the graveyard too.
Isn't it a kind of strict sounding song, like the same kind of tone that you hear at the end of Judge Mathis' show during the rolling credits that you can hear on a day when you are off from school/work?
It is very loopy and has no end to it but peaceful yet not happy. Maybe its a kind of song you can study to if you don't have on too loud.

Oh...THAT sanctuary...I thought you meant the sanctuary-esque place in Chapter 5...the room with Captain Bell's massive organ. Whoops lol.
