I saw the Startropics 1 commercial ad before, it had like a bunch of Africans on the beach, playing the same musical instruments played in Jimmy Buffett's songs, like steel drums, tamborines, marimbas, xylophones, ukuleles, and other tropical, musical instruments.
For the Zoda's Revenge commercial ad, I'm not sure if I saw it or not, but, I guess it was a little creepy.

There was an ad? Whew, I wish I'd see it.

When and where did you see this commercial? Is it available online to see? If so...please tell us where we can find it! I would love to see it.

This dosn't have to do with the ad but my mom had an old SEARS catalogue and on the page with the NES games on it I saw startropics! I couldn't believe the price! $69.99! I don't remember paying that much for it? All the NES games were very expensive! I guess it was because that type of technology was very new but $70 is very rediclious in my oppinion! P.S. Instead of starting a new thread I decided to post this here because talking about the ad made me remember about what I posted above

Yeah...that makes sense. I still have the box that my original NES came in when my parents bought it. It cost them $110!!!

Yeah, my parents bought Wayne Gretzky 3D-Hockey (lol, 3D!) for something like $79.99, maybe more. It was a birthday gift, I was very young. Anyway, my brother lent it to a 'friend' of his who lived on our street--he traded it in at a pawn shop! My parents found out and were very angry, but that kid was unable to get the game back and instead gave us Ice Hockey to compensate. Both of these hockey games are amazing (as well as Blades of Steel), and WG3DH was one of the very first video games with rosters!

The site dosn't have very many NES ads so in that case it makes sence that you can't find a startropics ad anywhere

Hey! Maybe Nintendo of America still have old commercial tapes.

Forget the Hollywood mess. If I was host, I'd have Wheel tape on C-Island. :)

Ehh, it would be nice, but I kinda doubt they would keep that kinda thing, or if they did have them, publicly show them or distribute them. I really couldn't think of a reason myself why a company would keep a commercial tape like that unless they were planning on using it or parts of it in the future.

Since I was so young at the time, the only thing I remember about that commercial was watching the whale come up out of the water and swallow you. After watching that I decided I needed to get it.

I remember that too, along with the islanders playing tropical music, StarTropics game footage, the StarTropics box being shown, and the "Now Your Playing With Power" motto.

"Now Your Playing with Power" That is one of my definitive memories of commericals in the 80's and early 90's. I loved those Nintendo commercials, wish I remember the old ST commercial, though. It is possible that I saw it at one time years ago and I forgot it, but there were so many Nintendo commercials on Nickelodeon at the time I couldn't count them all...
