You've got quite a bit of time on your hands in order to figure all of this out, coralcola lol.
But thanks for the update! It's good to know we've reached 500 people! ;D

I've actually been a member of the C-Island community since way before the Petition...and even before this forum was made. I was a member of the original ezboard community. Back in the day (which was a Wednesday, by the way). Good times

I was on the old board to but only for about 2 weeks before this board started. We need an archivel topic, put the link to the old board in, and sticky it so we can go back to threads that were made in the past.
Would it be okay if we did that mitch?

I just signed too! I played this game when I was younger and loved to play it. That had to stop when the Nitendo system I was using stopped working. I have been dying to play these games again. I so hope they make a sequal or sequals. I really enjoyed playing these games. I also hope they update or do something special with the first two so that they can be played on the newer systems. Wow I am #529 now that is a lot of signatures. I hope we get more. I might have trouble spreading the word though but I will try my best! I will come on occusionally and chat about the games and other things involved in that. Talk to you later.

Thought I'd give everyone a small update...we have 536 signatures on this petition right now.
Given that the petition started on March 3, 2005 and it is now November 11, 2006...that means that we've had an average of 26.8 signatures per month since it started...that's not very good...especially considering that in the first month of having it, we got 85 signatures. If that trend were to have continued steadily...we would've been at 1700 signatures!
However, we must not let this get us down. The Wii's release is but a week away and with that, comes the VC and the inclusion of StarTropics and Zoda's Revenge. Hopefully, that will raise the awareness of the game and we'll have some newcomers to the boards and some new signatures for the petition along with them.
Thanks for taking the time to read my shpeel.

Hopefully the VC helps but I'm pretty sure Startropics won't be on the VC at release. Here is the list of games that will be on the VC at release
NES Mario Bros. The Legend of Zelda Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Jr. Ice Hockey Pinball Soccer Tennis Urban Champion Wario's Woods Baseball Solomon's Key
SNES F-Zero SimCity
Nintendo 64 Super Mario 64
Sega Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog Altered Beast Golden Axe Columns Ecco the Dolphin Gunstar Heroes Space Harrier II Toe Jam & Earl Ristar Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
TurboGrafx-16 Bonk's Adventure Super Star Soldier Victory Run Bomberman '93 Dungeon Explorer
Bu who knows. Maybe it's wrong.

That list seems to not include A LOT of games that would naturally have been thought to be on the VC. Either that list is not all correct, or Nintendo is planning to release the games in short bursts, maybe with some hefty advertising to go with them... As for the stats S2H, good points made indeed. I checked on its status earlier in the week, and it's REALLY slowed up. It's only been averaging about 1 or 2 sigs a week for awhile now. I am hoping for a slight pickup, however, when it's released on the VC... A thought has just occurred to me.The VC is supposed to be an outlet for classic VG's made by Nintendo. I don't know if this has already been confirmed or discussed prior, but why wouldn't this be a good way for Nintendo to FINALLY release to the public, in a cheaper, now probably more profitable manner, previously unreleased games? Nintendo has, I know, created games which were never released to the public for whatever reason, but the data cartridges were made, test trials were done, and so on and so forth. I don't know exactly how the VC works, but I believe it does involve the original data works, and if these unreleased ones were never really used, why not make use of them now?? To see somewhat of what I mean, a list of unreleased NES games, for example, can be found at the website below. As you'll see, boxes were made, even screenshots of the games, themselves, were found, thus proving that there was at least one cartridge and data works made. Some were made by Nintendo, but not all... www.nesworld.com/mirror/nr.htm
