Take your time, Matt. Don't be hasty to release a demo and make it haphazardly and shoddy. Nobody likes a demo that was put out just for the sake of being put out. I'm looking forward to seeing what you've done! Keep up the good (at least I hope it's good!) work!

Actually its not shoddy or haphazardly, that is, what I have done. The movement for the overworld was fairly easy to program, I just had to make it snap to a 16x16 grid and the rest was basic. And it took me about a week but I figured out how to make it transition well from the overworld of C-Island to Coralcola village. However I have been using the regular ST2 sprites because I haven't finished the new ones.

I've been working on C-Island. This is how it currently looks.

Not bad...not bad at all. I really like the bright, vibrant colors that you used. It makes the island really seem like it's in the tropics. Can't wait for that demo!

Forget the Hollywood mess. If I was host, I'd have Wheel tape on C-Island. :)

THAT IS PERFECT! I love the revamped palm trees, and the colors are great! Keep making the pics exactly like that!

Very bright! I love them!
A good idea, though, would be to make MORE water tiles, to give it some variety in texture.
Keep up the good work!

I would make more water but the way i made the original water prevents it. If i make another water tile, the tile edge would be very visible, more so than it is now.

That's always a problem...
One time I was trying to make a game (With RPGMaker on PS), I had to redesign both the water and land tiles four times before I got it to work right. I realized later on that I should've saved myself the trouble and just left the blasted things alone...

How's the progress on the game? I'd love to play a demo!

Progress is currently halted. The guy that was making the spites for Mike has oddly dissappeared. It may still be awhile because of this.

Oh jesus I love the screenshots.
I'd stick to 16x16 tiles.
Nice that you made the fade to dark geen FX on the mountain tiles.

I have the original sprites, and I have been making the game with them, its just that I would really like to have the new sprites because the guy doing them has been working on them since the beginning of April.

Wow, Matt. I'm impressed with your work. "Spaceship-C" sounds interesting, but I think Sub-Star or Sub-Space might sound a little better. "Sub-C" is actually a clever way to say "under sea". I'll keep thinking about that. If you need any help writing parts of the story or dialogue, I'll help in any way I can.
