I would like you know your thoughts on my latest idea. I think I may make the villages underworld style instead of overworld. By this I mean the large Mike instead of the the smaller one. I think this option will allow for greater detail of the village and of the people themselves. I don't want to stray too far that I would lose the feel of Star Tropics. What's everyone's opinion?

Sounds great! The villages definitely did seem a bit underdetailed in the original game. More detail would be pretty cool

Hehe, just thought of an easter egg for Chief Coralcola's hut. Whenver you enter, you will here a song from tetris.

That'd be pretty cool. Which music would it be though??

How about the really high noted song from the original for NES that was played during a game. Of course, transfer it and modernize it a little bit for the GC.

I was thinking something along the same thing...and, by GC, you mean of course GC, PS2, and XBox all at the same time...right??

I was actually thinking about it being a random song out of the three from Tetris for NES.

I kind of forgot that I decided to make the villages more detalied earlier, and I made all the tiles for a village overworld style. So, for the sake of simpler coding and not wanting to remake tiles for 3 hours, the villages will be like they were in the original. Sorry to dissapoint you.

Well that's slightly disappointing...oh well. So long as they'll be detailed more than the original was.

But of course! I only have a GC, which is why I said it like that, *sorry*. Take the song background, combine it with some bongo drums and a periodic conch shell whistle, and you'll feel like surfing all night long!

I'm proud to say I may have a working demo done sometime soon, though it will be early. I have gotten most of the overworld movement completed with success. I would like to have started on the underworld before the release however, so it may be alittl while still.
