I really want to play this game. It boots up, then i try to change the controls, and the cursor is super fast. I have an SNES to USB that i use and it wont use any directional pad movement. I try Xpadder to use keyboard commands to SNES controller. Doesnt work, still thinks i want to use the controller config, which doesnt allow directional movement. When i try to make a new save file, it wont let me, O doesnt allow me to move to a second file to enter my name. The only one i can select is the Mike file. When i do start the Mike save file, im dropped to the middle of the ocean, and then i see islands that resemble a chapter from the first ST. I cant enter the island and going anywhere else is endless ocean. What can i do to customize my own controls? Xpadder doesnt work (usually does with any other game i try with it) and just trying to use the keyboard sucks. The design of this options menu needed a "keyboard only" and NOT "keyboard + controller always" option. very frusteratign experience.

First of all, this forum is barely active so you can't insist on us helping you immediately as we're all busy with other things. And second, i'm very sure none of us even know where to begin since none of us even uses a snes to usb controller.
If I had to guess, the configuration of your controller is treating the D-pad as if it was the 360's or whatever. Its just a guess. As the game itself, that's how it is. The only thing the game has right now is a sample map composed of areas from Startropics that are unacceptable besides C-Island and the first dungeon. If you really want to play this, you either need to download a user made dungeon or make one yourself.
