Hello everybody! I can't believe I haven't joined this forum yet, but I love Startropics immensely. soundcloud.com/melodious-punk/mp-startropics-caveHere's a link to my rendition of the Cave music form Startropics. I play/direct a group called the Reno Video Game Symphony and we have performed this song A LOT in several different live ensembles. Here's us playing it live in Reno last Summer, it happens at 19:39 in the video. As usual, the bassline is so rad that the bassist's mind was obviously shredded to bits during the first pass of the tune www.ustream.tv/recorded/23815331The Cave music has also been used for really loose free improvisations with the jazz musicians, here's Clark Harrell and I playing it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=naU3lVwfKz0We've recently adapted the song to our new smaller combo, Tantalus. soundcloud.com/rvgsymphony/rvgs-tantalus-startropicsJust about every small group that has ever existed in the Symphony has played this tune. Except for the orchestra (squeee that would be fun, 36 musicians!). We also play a version of the first Sub-C music in Tomo Club(another small group). In that tune the lyrics basically describe how great riding in a submarine is, especially when you can talk to dolphins.

I love your music! So great to hear Star Tropics stuff as well. I wish it had the fanbase that EarthBound has, at least in terms of fan community.
