I am currently working on a 16bit remake of Startropics. It is taking me awhile to code the game, but once i figure it all out, ill start posting more screens. Until then, look at this teaser www.freewebs.com/korncap/Lady.bmp

Forget the Hollywood mess. If I was host, I'd have Wheel tape on C-Island. :)

That picture looks awesome. Interesting choice of what to update to 16-bit first, unless that's just the only picture that you felt like posting ;D. Are the background palm trees taken from SMB2 (SMAS version) or is it just me?

Yup, i mixed it in with a custom background and it looks great! I will be posting more 16-bit sprites later, but for now im goin to stay with 8bit until im finished coding the engine. If i juggle two things at once, it will get me sidetracked ^_^. That being said, here is a video of what i have accomplished so far, and a demo track from the game. It's looking great, keep up the work, don't give up!
Are you making it with SNES ASM or is it a Computer Game? Either way it's awesome.

Well it's best to be a computer game anyways, since using ASM would probably be frustrating and limiting.
But yeah I really hope you don't quit because there's been too many people who say they're making something and then just disappear. I'm working on something myself as well, and I'm not going to give up on the game either.

Go ahead. I just programmed some stuff into my game that you can probably use on yours. I just got done finishing the green tile system of ST1. You lock onto it just like in the actual game, and you can turn any object/instance into a red button if you step on a green tile that has an assigned switch ID to it.
There's plenty of stuff I could help you with.
