Finally, I made a Startropics themed stage. Hermit's Mountain. Sure, there may not be a water geyser... but there is one huge SPRING instead. Oh, and the mountain level itself turned out pretty sweet. I'll post a pic when I can.

Didn't know about this one, so I'm moving my post here:
I guess I'll start with my personal moveset:
Mike Jones
Main fighting style: Yo-Yo (the Shooting Star and Super Nova are his Forward & Smash Forward, respectively, but without the projectile effect)
B: Psychic Shockwave (less damage = better range; very weak and limited rapid-fire) Forward B: Random Weapon Toss (Randomly toss baseballs, stone axes, or bolos; each has different strength and range) Up B: Anklet Jump (Good for distance, but has very little height) Down B: Cleat Kick (Just what it sounds like, though it's more like a Falcon Kick)
Final Smash: Southern Cross - Mike summons four energy spheres to orbit him and damage enemies as he continues to fight normally (like with ROB's Diffusion Beam).
Mike's a very projectile-heavy guy in the games, so I had to lessen the emphasis somewhat to make a balance. Also, I've seen other movesets for Mike, and almost all of them insist on the Mirror item for a Down B. I think there's enough reflect-users in Smash Bros already, so I chose something else.

That sounds like a good idea Maetch!
We gotta work on making the franchise popular enough so that it gets its share of love the next time Japan throws a poll to see who should get in Smash Bros 4.
I like the idea of Down B cleat kick! It should drive opponents straight down! Psychic Shockwave could work sort of like Fox's lasers, except they are slower, but stronger (and don't make your opponent flinch like Falco's lasers).
I say another good idea for a Final Smash is the Snowman doll. Freeze everyone up for a brief period enough to rack up damage. While you can't KO your opponents, you get to choose how to build up damage on them while they're frozen.

We gotta work on making the franchise popular enough so that it gets its share of love the next time Japan throws a poll to see who should get in Smash Bros 4. They would HAVE to put Mike in. So far, Nintendo's made a habit of reviving one 8-bit-era character in every Smash Bros. game. First there was the Ice Climbers in "Melee", then Pit in "Brawl". Heck, I could even say that Samus got revived in "SSB64", since she hadn't been in a new game for nearly five years at the time. Psychic Shockwave could work sort of like Fox's lasers, except they are slower, but stronger (and don't make your opponent flinch like Falco's lasers). Hmm... Good idea. Don't want Mike to be too reliant on it. I say another good idea for a Final Smash is the Snowman doll. Freeze everyone up for a brief period enough to rack up damage. While you can't KO your opponents, you get to choose how to build up damage on them while they're frozen. True, but I like my FS idea better. It takes some more skill to use. Still, the doll does provide a new idea for an item.

Darn! You're so full of sense! XD Of course I forgot the Snowman doll was an item to begin with! It would be more appropiate to have it as an item... Except translated to Smash Bros formula, it would freeze all opponents in that hunk of ice instead. But that's cool I guess.. that way it doesn't become another Stopwatch / Shadow the Hedgehog item clone. I wonder if Mike should have tether recovery... I mean, sure.. A yoyo can't really latch onto a ledge.. perhaps the Shooting Star or Supernova could... but I dunno.. (to make up for his poor vertical recovery). oh dang.. no pun intended. XD

Other StarTropics/SSB4 ideas:
Items
Snowman Doll: Created when two Freezies collide with each other. When thrown, it creates a shockwave that freezes everyone in range (except the thrower), though they thaw out much quicker than they would from a Freezie.
Try Your Luck Sign: Appearing only in Adventure Mode, the sign can either give or take away as many as two lives. Assuming that SSB4's Adventure Mode will play like Brawl's, they would be hidden in secret spots. The signs won't appear if you have two or less lives (since you can't go below zero), and they'll be replaced by normal 1-ups instead.
Assist Trophy:
Mica: She appears, telekinetically pins one random opponent in place, then vanishes. It's effective, but someone else might take advantage of the free target.
Stage:
Coralcola Cave: Since it was featured in both games, the cave should be the best candidate for a stage. Its layout is the standard "Battlefield" style, with three platforms positioned above the floor, but the outer platforms are slanted outward. Features includes: *Switches - Green switchs will occasionally appear in different places. Stomping them will either reveal items or trigger small explosions on the floor, creating temporary holes (similiar to how they work in the games) *C-Serpent - Occasionally appears in the background to spit fire or lash out towards the fighters.

Those are some nice stage ideas! I have to agree with Coralcola. And the serpent idea popping in was good too. The water in this stage should suck you down, so that you don't get any swim time. Ok then. Here's my ZODA moveset. Basically, Zoda would be heavy but floaty. B: Shadow blast.- (Shoots a cluster of shadow balls forward. Can be charged.) B Tilt: Dark Skulls.- (Unleashes a wave of flying skulls forward. Slow and little damage.) B Down: Animorph.- (Transform into Monster Zoda.) B Up: Teleport.- (works like Mewtwo's). B: .-Belly acid.- Splat acid deals decent damage, and has the range of Luigi's fireball. B Tilt: .-Spit spawn.- Call up to 2 spawns to try to immoblize or damage your enemies. B Up: .-High Leap.- Similar to Dedede's except without invincibility frames, and more damage. B Down: .-Human Transform.- Turn back into Zoda's humanoid form. Final Smash: Giant Floating Head and hands. You control Zoda in the first stage you ever fought him in StarTropics. You can claw your enemies, or shoot eyeballs at them. (other final smash ideas: Spawn Invasion: Little Zoda Spawns run around everywhere leeching your opponents' life, recovering your own. Turn into Zoda Z's final form)

To me, swimming was something they shouldn't have implemented in Brawl. It takes all the danger out of stages like the Pirate Ship and Melee's Jungle Japes. My SSB4 abolishes swimming, so water is always deadly.
Anyway, nice moveset, but I think Nintendo would start with Mike first, since he's the star of the series. The only other possible picks would be Zoda and Mica (assuming Nintendo makes up stuff for them like they did Cap. Falcon), and I think they're best saved for SSB5, after Nintendo sees the popularity for StarTropics and realizes more can be done with the franchise.

To get things going again, here's my SSB4 wishlist:
Add the following characters: *Mike Jones (natch) *Issac (Golden Sun's main hero; Felix can be an Assist) *Meowth (next to the uncuttable Pikachu and Jigglypuff, Meowth's a very popular Pokemon and definitely a prime candidate) *Little Mac *Mewtwo (bring him back from Melee)
Cut the following characters: *Pokemon Trainer (He was just an excuse to stuff more playable Pokemon in without taking up roster slots) *Solid Snake (This is NINTENDO! Popular or not, Snake doesn't belong) *Sonic (See above) *Lucario (Nothing against him, but four Pokemon should be the limit) *Toon Link (We don't need alternate versions of the exact same guy) *Zero Suit Samus (To me, Samus needs to stay IN her armor when fighting. A new Final Smash will also be necessary) *Falco (He had his time in Melee and Brawl. Time for the bird to retire)
Other stuff includes: *Alternate outfits for select characters (Mario gets the Dr. Mario outfit, Link gets villager garb, Samus gets the Fusion Suit, and so on) *A better Stage Creator (One that can look professional) *More as I can think of them...

Out of all of these, I can only agree on two.
Toon Link & Snake
Toon Link for the same reasons as you. Snake.. Let's face it.. it's not that he doesn't belong... he just doesn't FIT IN! If someone from Konami were to make it in, it HAD to be either Simon Belmont from Castlevania, or Goemon from Mystical Ninja. No other Konami franchise has had more installments on a Nintendo system than the ones just mentioned.
The rest can stay, as long as they balance them out properly.
Now for my candidates:
-Mike (obviously) -Little Mac (Punch Out) -Takamaru (Nazo no Murasame Jo) -Isaac (Golden Sun) -Megaman (Megaman) ((80% of his games are on Nintendo, he more than belongs even if he's 3rd party)
Basically these guys whom I mostly want in.
...
Okay I don't care if it's pushing it.. but...
-Zoda (ZR) -Saki (S&P)
Now, my moveset for Little Mac:
B: Counterpunch! (Punch Out!) B Up: ZEE UPPERCUT! (Punch Out!) B Side: Rapid punch! (Super Punch Out!) B Down: Rest up! (Super Punch Out!) Final Smash: Giga Mac (Punch Out !!)
Counterpunch: would work like Marth's counter, except knockback is more horizontal.
ZEE UPPERCUT: works like a weaker version of Luigi's Up+B (but always connects you hit opponent), useful for recovery as well.
Rapid Punch: you are immune to flinching for 3 seconds. This move doesn't knock away, it only builds up damage on your foe.
Rest up!: Little Mac recovers health slowly. (2% every second) To be used after knocking opponent away.
Giga Mac: Turns into Giga Mac. Moveset is the same, except slower. Damage and knockback is doubled. Giga Mac doesn't flinch, and can't be knocked away.
Colors: Green (minor league) Blue (major league) Red (...) Yellow (2P) Blonde (Blonde Little Mac from Super Punch Out!) Black (and darker skinned)

Love all this discussion! Something my brother and I have talked about at length is Mike in Smash Bros., since we're both huge StarTropics fans (to tell the truth, he's actually the better ST player out of the two of us). And as HUGE a Sonic fan as I am (Sonic's my favorite video game character AND series), I can't help but be disappointed that he made it in before Mike. Though, he's definitely my main on Brawl (he perfectly fits my style- fast and maneuverable). Anywho, comments/ideas/responses to past posts ahoy! Didn't know about this one, so I'm moving my post here: I guess I'll start with my personal moveset: Mike JonesMain fighting style: Yo-Yo (the Shooting Star and Super Nova are his Forward & Smash Forward, respectively, but without the projectile effect) B: Psychic Shockwave (less damage = better range; very weak and limited rapid-fire) Forward B: Random Weapon Toss (Randomly toss baseballs, stone axes, or bolos; each has different strength and range) Up B: Anklet Jump (Good for distance, but has very little height) Down B: Cleat Kick (Just what it sounds like, though it's more like a Falcon Kick) Final Smash: Southern Cross - Mike summons four energy spheres to orbit him and damage enemies as he continues to fight normally (like with ROB's Diffusion Beam). Also, I've seen other movesets for Mike, and almost all of them insist on the Mirror item for a Down B. I think there's enough reflect-users in Smash Bros already, so I chose something else. Love it! More ideas for a Final Smash for Mike: Super Laser- Mike pulls out the spread-shot Super Laser and begins spamming it; would be played much like ROB's Diffusion Beam, save that Mike cannot fight normally (since his hands are occupied with the rifle) and can aim it up or down in addition to left or right. I'd let him pull his Anklet Jump, though, so you can't kamikaze yourself with it. Sub-C- Mike rides Sub-C in on a huge wave that sweeps over the battlefield (a la the storm that wrecked it in Chapter 3). If you can avoid Sub-C itself and just get hit by the wave, you might still be able to recover, but getting rammed by the sub is an instant-KO. When the Final Smash ends, Mike hops back onto the battlefield. Might even get a neat Nav-Com cameo as he says something about the stormy weather... right before the huge wave washes Sub-C onto the battlefield. This could work one of two ways- Sub-C and the wave come in from the background or to one side. Other StarTropics/SSB4 ideas: ItemsSnowman Doll: Created when two Freezies collide with each other. When thrown, it creates a shockwave that freezes everyone in range (except the thrower), though they thaw out much quicker than they would from a Freezie. Try Your Luck Sign: Appearing only in Adventure Mode, the sign can either give or take away as many as two lives. Stomping them will either reveal items or trigger small explosions on the floor, creating temporary holes (similiar to how they work in the games) *C-Serpent - Occasionally appears in the background to spit fire or lash out towards the fighters. Great! Some item ideas I had: 3-Way Shot- When you pick this up, you (fittingly) get three shots with it. Completely unique, since we don't have many (if ANY) spread-shot items in Smash Bros. Super Laser- If this doesn't end up being Mike's Final Smash, it'd work equally well as an item. It'd differentiate itself from the Ray Gun in that it's more of a short-range, spread-shot gun than Mike's Laser or the Ray Gun itself. Asterisk- A single-shot weapon; the second press of the throw button would be used to control its split. Add a whole new dimension to battling! Vitamin-X- A new twist on the old healing items, this would heal a great amount of damage AND allow you to soak up a set amount of hits (maybe one to three) without racking up further damage. This could really turn the tide of battle, allowing a player to turn defeat into victory! Enemy Cameos I'd like to see- if even one shows up, then I'm happy! Jelly- slog back and forth, occupying a platform. Attack by biting you with those acid-rimmed mouthparts you see in the instruction manual artwork, so we can see that acid venom it alludes to at work (finally!) Bonehead- Strut back and forth, attack by whipping their bony necks and heads at you, are capable of leaping across short gaps to get from one platform to another. Looper- Strike with lightning speed! Ninja Monky- Hop around like Paratroopas. Space Trooper- Attack with laser rifles Those are some nice stage ideas! I have to agree with Coralcola. And the serpent idea popping in was good too. The water in this stage should suck you down, so that you don't get any swim time. Ok then. Here's my ZODA moveset. (other final smash ideas: Spawn Invasion: Little Zoda Spawns run around everywhere leeching your opponents' life, recovering your own. Turn into Zoda Z's final form) Another great idea for Zoda's final smash might involve bringing in a bunch of his Space Troopers, particularly if they're like in the game and are a royal pain in the behind.
