Maybe you should've included a girl in your prayer, instead of as an afterthought...
Of course, I need one to.
But Smash Bros. is closer, methinks.
ARGH!!!!!

Not even Y. Hirai, the sound composer of both StarTropics titles, was mentioned in the Music page.
I got a bad feeling about this. While StarTropics hasn't been mentioned much, then we probably won't see anything from the StarTropics series.
However, if that "StarTropics III being developed by Camelot" is considered a fact, and while Motoi Sakuraba (one of Camelot's composers) is working on SSBB, this will probably increase Mike's chance at entering SSBB's roster (or trophy room), or one of his items might enter.

Y. Hirai, and Kumegawa's abscense indeed worries me...
My hopes for Mike have dropped drastically... the only thing that keeps it alive is a thing I repeat to myself over and over.
"Japan doesn't know Startropics" so even if they mentioned it it would:
1.- Cause a reaction of "WTF!!?"
2.- Be a dead give away about Mike, should he be in the roster.
With number 2 I'm being very optimistic. But this fight isn't over until we get to see the very LAST secret character revealed.

However, if that "StarTropics III being developed by Camelot" is considered a fact Which is still a very big IF, just as much of one since day 1, if not moreso, especially given that we haven't heard word one of any developments since... I haven't lost any hope of Mike being in SSB, but I've thought about it a bit, and my opinion goes: If Mike were to be in the upcoming SSB, my thought is that he would've been a contender with the developers since the beginning of its development, as opposed to just in the past year or so. Reasoning? B/c, yes, SSB listens to their fans very much and makes use of their input, but the outpouring of support for MJ has not been nearly comparable enough to that of Sonic, Solid Snake, or even Mega Man in the past couple of years, and only Solid Snake has been confirmed to be in it. Sonic and MM are still very much in question (I think they all should be there)... I'm not saying Mike has any less of a chance then he did before, but if he gets in there, I doubt any rumor or fact of an upcoming ST3 or old-fashioned fan support did it, but talks in the game development's beginning, possibly from those who were somehow fans of the game or friends of Genyo. If Mike is in there thanks to an upcoming ST3, some input from Motoi Sakuraba probably had something to do with it, it wasn't done in very recent time, and I don't think fan support had much to do with it... This is all, IMHO.

The Punch-Out!! series is more popular than the StarTropics series, while it is also created by Genyo Takeda. Many people wished for Mac from the series to enter. He and Dragon Chan were mentioned in Sakurai's poll. I'm pretty sure Sakurai would take the protagonist of the SNES Super Punch-Out!!, and call him either "Little Mac" or just "Mac", because he is the most recent playable boxer of the Punch-Out!! series.

*bump*
The website has been updated with several stuff revealed. It will be updated every weekday, but not on weekends.
Those "Super Smash moves" are officially referred to as "Final Smash moves". Mario's Final Smash move is officially called the "Mario Finale", which is when he uses both of his hands to shoot gigantic fireballs.
