Well, it's like what the title says. What has everyone been doing of late VG related? Myself, I'm continuing to get my money's worth out of my 360, upping my Halo 3 stats, getting a new game every now and then, and slowly but surely working through the GTA 4 trilogy. Anyone else spending a good deal of time on a 360 these days? I've also been milking the "Blur" demo all I can right now, and will until I can't resist buying the game itself. Being a big Need For Speed fan, and with MegaRace (who here remembers that game?) being one of my favorite VG's growing up, Blur has been the kind of game I've been waiting for for MANY years. The game has NFS's controls and general layout, but with the tone a mix between MegaRace and NFS, with gameplay that is close to what I'd envision a MegaRace 2010 would've looked like. Modding and tricking out the cars (which, also like NFS, are real names with multiple mod abilities) also works exactly as with NFS, which is a super plus... Else... get ready for this... because my Physics degree hasn't been doing much for me of late in the straightforward NASA/Physics world ( economy -_-), I applied for a boatload of jobs (yes, all which I were actually qualified for and then some), with BUNGIE! So uh... if I actually get one of them... I'd have to move to Seattle and might be involved somewhat in Halo: Reach, but who knows. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that one, it would be one of those jobs that would be so fated or something if I landed it, and I've decided I need to get out of straightforward Physics things for now, I'm not gonna spend another 2 years applying for schools and NASA jobs when not even my Physics B.S. with Honors Cum Laude etc. etc. can't even get me anywhere there right now... At that, I've also found a new classic VG store has opened up locally that sells things going wayyy back to the Atari, Colecovision, Intellivision, etc. Keep your eyes peeled for updates on that later...

I just recently purchased Super Mario Galaxy 2...and so far, it has definitely lived up to the expectations I had for it (direct sequel, more challenging!!)
I'm also working on convincing my better half to let me buy a PS3...'cause I just GOTTA play FF13 and God of War III!!!

I have also been playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 and my opinions on it are varied (it's pretty good but it still holds that annoying linear feeling that the first one had, too bad they never made a Mario Sunshine 2 ). I have also been playing WarioWare DIY a lot lately (which has sparked an urge to go back and play the previous WarioWare games which were awesome). 3D Dot Game Heroes is still a game that I play a lot as I'm still missing a whole bunch of items. In the retro scene I've been playing a lot of Mike Tyson's Punchout, I'm in the final circuit although I'm having a bit of trouble making it to the end .

I've been trying out some new 360 games myself. I finally managed to flash my dvd drive in my 360 to play burnt games (after about three months and $70, but imo worth it) and lately I've been playing Prototype and Darksiders, but I haven't really been able to get into either consistently. I just finished downloading FF13 so I'm gonna try that out later, and I have Resonance of Fate, which I'm waiting to play more till I get a composite video cable. The regular cable just makes the words way to blurry. I was playing Star Wars:Battlefront II until my bro moved and took it with him. I can't say I've found any games yet that really capture me, but I've heard good things about Alan Wake. And of course I play Halo 3 a lot, along with Forza Motorsport 3, the only two games I legally own . On a side note I've also been doing a lot of physical modifications to my 360. Changed the ring of light on the box and two controllers to blue and added a unit on top for quick reflashing that I changed the leds in from green to blue.

Cool mods on the 360. Still playing Halo 3, of course, but not as much the past couple weeks cuz I've been busy. That'll probably change a bit this week. I need to get some mo' Haloz addictz to play wit... I'm a Need for Speed fan and I tried the Forza Motorsport games, but didn't like them, I guess they were just a little too different for my liking. Midnight Club I did like, and the new game Blur I'm really stoked over. It would be one of those games that if you're not a racing game fan, it might make you one, it just comes off that good and that well-polished. I also just picked up Tenchu Z, I've been getting into the ninja games lately too. I blame the new Ninja Gaidens, which were 2 of the first games I wanted to get when I got my 360 (being a fan of the NES games), and proceeded to pwn and ogle over them...

Sir Coralcola, I ENVY YOUUU!! I'm desperate to play Ninja Gaiden. I'm getting a PS3 basically to play that and SSFIV among other things.. Oh well.. What have I been doing lately.. I just beat Blaster Master Overdrive the other day. Great game! A must have for Blaster Master fans and fans of the Metroidvania type games. I downloaded the remaining DLC content from Megaman 10, and I beat Special Stages 1,2 and 3. AWESOME STUFF. I've been playing Metroid Prime 2 like crazy only to find out through a friend that I'm not even halfway done with it. I was playing Ninja Gaiden for the Master System (the one that takes place in Japan only). Made it to the final boss, but it was ridiculously difficult (as always). Finally, I've beaten Megaman Legends not too long ago, Megaman X6, and pretty much completed every single Megaman Classic game, and I'm currently at X7 and Legends 2.

I've been trying to find versions of X7 and X8 I can play on one of my systems. I've played all the classics (and with the exception of MM7, have them all) and all the X's up to X6. However, I don't see X7 or X8 on the 360 downloadable list (of course), nor on the Wii's, and I can't find a version for the PC either online or in stores anywhere... :'-/

NFS is always fun, but you should give Forza another shot. I got it as a present right after playing NFS Nitro and hated it at first. But I played it and once I started getting on to the controls had a lot of fun with it. That being said, if you really didn't care for it the first time, I get that. On another note of underestimation, I've been playing Darksiders a lot lately, and I'm really liking it. What I've found, and what a lot of reviews I've read recently have said, is that there isn't really anything revolutionary about the gameplay. That being said, it's still a solid game with mechanics not unlike Zelda games. I tried finding Megaman 9 to put on my 360 awhile back but I don't know if theres a way to get it without going through the Live Arcade. I really wanted to play it too, after playing the free demo of MM10 at a friend's house before we went out that night. Made me want to play it hardcore. I never really liked the X series past 3 though. Lol I forgot, I FINALLY beat Halo last week. As in Halo:Combat Evolved. I beat Halo 2 a few years back when I borrowed a friend's xbox, and I own Halo 3, but I had never beat the first one

I just found Halo 3: ODST for $10 the other day too. I started playing it 2 days ago... and... lets just say the word "enamored" comes to mind.

I'm pretty much being like the "Indiana Jones of video games", I search around and preserve as much info about lesser-known video games.
I've also been helping my friend from Guatemala, Johans' Nidorino (from NinDB forum), download and send some special stuff at Toys "R" Us/GameStop events, due to him being a very good friend of mind, as well as a Pokemon expert who doesn't have a Toys "R" Us nor a GameStop near his home.
Currently, I'm working on raising my Club Nintendo account to Platinum status before June 30th, 2010.

Since March, I've been working on my file in Pokemon: Soul Silver. Actually, to be more accurate I've been dividing time between that and Pokemon Platinum, which I also have a game save file in.
Seems that a lot of people have been raving about Pocket Monsters like it's 1997 ever since the remakes came out. You should have seen how many people were wearing those Pokewalkers (myself included) at the Anime Central 2010 convention this year.

Been playing through LOTR: The Two Towers on the PS2 again. Planning on doing another StarTropics and Zoda's Revenge run soon, though... there are a few plot details I wanted to double-check, to get back to the Fan Conclusions thread to revive that discussion I was having...

My gameplay habits have been sporadic lately. I started playing dota on Warcraft III again, because now that I have my own house, my friend and I have been having LAN parties (mind you only us two) once a week at least....haha we're nerds. That and I burnt a copy of Black Ops awhile back. I'm not a big fan of CoD, but the zombies mode was really fun. I have to reburn it now though, because M$ had to do an antipiracy update . I did finally get around to dusting off my NES stuff, thinking about playing something from that collection too.

I got Sims 3 for Christmas for my PS3 and guys, I've gotta say, it is EXTREMELY addicting. I've been playing it like it's my freaking JOB. I'm not sure what makes it so addicting, but it's really fun. If you get the chance, I would encourage you to pick it up!
