If you can't avoid the mini scorpions kill them and then attack the king scropion before more mini scropions come.

I like to save my Slingshot weapon until the scorpion fight because it has a bit longer range and you can fire them off faster. Just keep running around and don't get backed into a corner.

Also, immediately when you enter the room, fire away at it as fast as you can. When you hit him, he stops for about .5 second, and if you can get within a good, close range, you can knock off about half his energy before you should need to attack the little ones...

yeah, that's a nice one to fight. I love fighting him in Ch. 9, sense I have my Ultra shockwave and I just move down a bit from the start, and fire. He hardly moves from there and I can kill him without moving or hitting alittle one.
But as for on Ch. 3, just walk up to him and began to let him have it! After a while, he'll die. Just watch his movements. If he begins to move toward you, move. Touching him is moreless instant death(it's not actually instant, but he takes so many, that unless your full power, you'll probally die) Also, the little ones wont shoot at you and they only take 1 hit, not 2. So you can strike the big one until the little one is almost on top of you, and if your fast enough, you can turn, kill him, and go back to striking the big one before he's even over his last hit. (Also, watch for the balls he shoots). Hope that helps.

In Zoda X's room (the one with all those arrows) there's a place in the top right part where four arrows point to each other like this -> V ^ <- If you stand in the middle of that part you won't move around at all. ;D Thats new. I never thought of that.

My original NES back @ home doesn't work at all...I fried the motherboard due to over-usage lol ;D
However, I do have a knock-off imported from Japan that works great!

Mine works fairly good (alot better when I play it often but when I don't play for about a week it dosn't work as good). Hmm, sometimes my NES follows that trend. Other times, it'll work for the first time without a problem. With mine though, I think it may depend more on the game(s) I'm playing rather than the system itself... HOWEVER, I'm not holding that it will last forever, it is 17 years old this year...
