Hey, if anyone has ever heard of the anime Inuyasha, please respond to the thread. If you don't know about it, well, just go along with everyone else. LOL

Ya I've seen it before. It's not bad but I'm always to busy to watch it.

I've heard of it...but I've never watched it. I'm not really that big into anime, although I've heard it's a fairly decent one.

I've watched it before, it was so-so. I'd perfer the Japanese versions of animes based on video games, and animes that are hilarious like Azumanga Daioh!, FLCL, and Colorful.

I'm not an anime fan in the least, but I do know Inuyasha and have watched a few episodes (I actually watched one last night on Cartoon Network), and it is somewhat intriguing. I have a lot of friends who are Inuyasha fans, but I can't relate to anything they're saying b/c I don't watch anime. I know the other main character is Kokome (sp?) and I know they fight evil in good ole' anime style, but I don't understand the situation between them living in two different worlds, or it being something like that. Can someone explain this to me? BTW, I think StarTropicsMaster is an Inuyasha fan, his email address has something to do with Inuyasha if I remember correctly.

yes, I am a major Inuyasha fan. The difference between to two worlds is simple. Inuyasha and demons live in the fudel era, which is Kagome's time I think 50 years in the future. Kagome falls through a well in a shrine in her backyard and enters the era and finds Inuyasha pinned to a tree be an aarow from his former "girlfriend" Kikyo. An evil demon, Naraku, transformed into the other and destroyed there relationship, killing Kikyo and pinning Inuyasha to the tree[for 50 years]. Kagome frees Inuyasha from the tree and he tries to attack her, sense she smells like Kikyo. (Kagome is Kikyo's reancarnation). The old priestess, Kiada, put some spirt beeds on Inuyasha, Kagome must utter a "subbduing spell" on the half-demon. She suddenly thinks of "Sit!" and Inuyasha falls flat on his face on the ground. After, a demon bites Kagome and makes a pearl come out of her. The demon eats it and gets stronger. Inuyasha kills it and tries to get the pearl [or Sacred Jewel, or Jewel of Four Soals]. After, A crow demon eats it, and Kagome shoots it with and arrow, killing it and shattering the jewel into lots of pieces that scatter around the entire world. After that, Inuyasha and Kagome team up, to find it. Inuyasha turns good and protective of Kagome, and his new friends: Songo, the demon slayer with the hirightcotse(big boomering thing) and her pet, a demon cat named kiara(prenoused Ki-law-la). And a perverted Monk by the name of Miroku. Also a young fox demon named Shippo. Songo and Miroku fall in love with each other, as do Inuyasha and Kagome, but never say it. Over time, they've ran into many other people, and a few other friendly demons, like Koga, of the wolf demon tribe.(I love it when Koga and Inuyasha get in the same place at the same time! It's halarious) Koga is also in love with Kagome. They are tring to collect all of the shards and kill Naraku. Whew That was a lot. But I hope it gets all questions answered, if you have anymore, please visit www.inuyashaworld.com or e-mail me.

Well, that clears up just about any question I could've had in mind. Thanks STM.

This topic is very old, I know, but I thought that I'd post a comment here. STM might get a kick out of it. In recent months, I've become a BIG Inuyasha fan (nope, never saw that coming in 10 billion years). Of all the forms of TV I bashed, Anime I may have the most, because of how weird I thought most of it was, and how out there the storylines got. Looking back, I remember posting a reply here quite a time ago, and I laughed, reading through everything and STM's description, actually understanding everything being said, and having succumbed to the demon that Inuyasha is *half-demon, my apologies*. I haven't become an anime fan, as a whole, *yet, who knows at this point.* I became an Inuyasha fan because it came on after Cartoon Network's block of shows in the early night (at least, the block from January), and right before Futurama. Being it was the ONLY anime I also knew anything about, to start off, I also had a basis when I was up watching an episode one night and was actually able to understand what was going on in it. To me, it's not as out there as some of that other stuff in Anime land. Lord, some of the stuff on shows like Blood is WAAAAAAYYYY too out there for my tastes. I can see why people are so hooked on it though... As a result, in recent months, I've developed an even BIGGER desire to go to Japan and learn Japanese, I've watched less Nickelodeon and Game Show Network, I stay up til at least 2 every weeknight to watch Inuyasha, and I've become a huge Manga fan, reading the new chapter summaries every week they come out ( www.furinkan.com/iycompanion/manga)... Well, now I'm hooked, AND, STM is no longer alone as an Inuyashafreak here... That is all, you may proceed with your lives as normal.

A little correction Startropicsmaster.
The time difference between the two worlds is actually 500 years, cause 50 years is too little to change from feudal Japan to modern Japan XD
I used to watch it. It had some cool episodes, but the majority of them felt like filler episodes... so I got bored sometimes.
My favorite parts were the encounters with Sesshomaru, the battle in the sacred mountain thing, the fight against the 7 demons, and
*one of the final episodes' spoiler warning'
the 2nd fight in Inuyasha's father's grave (fight for the final jewel shrad, between Inuyasha, Sesshomaru and Naraku.

No, it's a line from this Inuyasha topic comic. Inuyasha is enjoyable, but easy to poke fun at. WARNING: Foul Language Below!
