We could make a thread on every message board we can find about the petition. Look at this board www.gaiaonline.com/forum/index.php3074862 users! We could probably get alot of signitures from there. In fact there is a site called big boards that shows the highest ranking boards on the internet rankings.big-boards.com/we could start by making a post on every board from the top of the list. Gaia Online (the one I brought up earlier) is #1. EDIT: I just made a thread on Gaia Online about the petition. Heres the link to it. -- I took away the link because people just started insulting the petition and no progress was made.

i'm going to start tellng people at my school. With over 1,000 people being told, it should get some progress. Also, I thought (and tried, but failed) to make a guild on Neopets about Startropics. Sry.

meaning that an average of about 44.4 signatures were added each month, I'm getting worried. 44.4 a month Has dropped to about 16 a month. This is horrible. We need a good way of advertising. But even if people notice the petition what would make them want to sign it?

Yeah, in the past 4 months, we've averaged only about 16 a month, but overall, we've been averaging like 37 signatures a month for the past 13 months, if that makes you feel any better. I'm thinking of posting the petition on a couple of other forums where I'm liked or at least somewhat well thought of. I may ask the fellow members of the Miami Vice forum I'm on to do me a favor and sign it if they can. That forum alone has almost 6000 members on it, which is not too bad!!

Not to spoil it or anything, but internet petitions almost NEVER work. I'm sorry that's just the way it is. As much as I would like it to work, it will probably be ignored by Nintendo.

Alot of people I know (and members from message boards I have posted it on) have said that. They say that online petitions don't work because a person could sign it 481 times just using a differents name each time. I know we have encountered the fact that some people have signed twice. I think that the idea of the petition was good but I am with Gellin. It's not that I have lost faith is there being a startropics sequal but it's the fact that I think this petition will most likley not work.

It's still nice to be apart of some thing Exactly... At least we are trying to be proactive about all of it and are really trying to do something to get an official ST3 game released in the first place...

Any of you ever tried calling a Nintendo Representative by telephone about reviving the StarTropics series? If might be as good as the petition, or better.

well, just to (hopefully) calm your wories a bit, I'll be tring my best and keep naging on to Nintendo if I get a job with them to make a new Startropics. I may be able to talk to the one's who had the idea for it and get permission to make an ST3. Even it Nintendo refuses, I'll still try to make one when I get enough money.

I'm really sorry if I was a bit negative in my last post in this thread. It is good to be part of it and no one ever said it wasn't. Plus it is good that we are doing what we can to get a ST3 made. I will still support the petition and do what I can to help the progression tword convincing Nintendo to make a ST3.

You weren't being negative MJ, you were being realistic (heck, what you said was exactly the very first thing that popped in my mind when I first read that a petition had been made).
The thing is, unless somebody else can give me something better to do with my time in order to help get an ST3 released, this is all I got and all I can do right now...

Well now folks, as it has become my self-appointed duty, I must give an update on the status of the ST petition... Today, Friday May 5, 2006, our petition hit 500 POSTS!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!?!?!?!?!?! (who knew it would get this many signatures? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D) NOW, for the stats. Look out all... In the past couple of months, the number of signatures, on average, has been going down, but still, during the petition's entire 14 month tenure, it has been averaging about 36 signatures a month, 8.2 a week, or almost 1.2 signatures a day. For exactly how much the rate of signatures have gone down, when it hit 400 signatures (at the beginning of this year), it was averaging 44.4 signatures a month (which means since then, that rate has gone down 19%), 9.3 signatures a week (...down 12%), and 1.3 a day (...down 7.7%). Making a guess as to how much these rates could continue to drop, and given the fact it took 5 months for it to go up by another 100, I am estimating that it won't hit 600 until around Christmas of this year (7 months from now). Straining my brain a bit more, my original estimates of March 2007 and April 2009 for when it will hit 1000 and 2000, respectively, are now probably a bit too soon. Try May 2009 and July 2015 for the two!!!!!! I do think, however, that I may be being a bit generous with those predictions, I fear... BUT, to bring things back up, this is only a mathematical prediction based on what has happened so far! There is no saying why there suddenly couldn't be a BIG RISE in the number of signatures the petition is getting, if there was some catalyst to get it going... ;D Thoughts, ideas, questions, comments, suggestions??
