So in my eternal fight to get people to accept Mike as a plausible candidate for Super Smash Bros. (or as a gaming icon in general) I dreh and colored him, as well as giving some variety to his regular colors. My initial idea was to make him as 3d-ish looking as possible... but I'm terrible at CGI, so the outcome was some anime-like Mike instead.... Well here it is so you can judge for yourselves. ^_^ Regular color Anklet color Michelle color Zoda color Zoda X/Y Color Fan project color

That look great. I wish I could draw that good. It's to bad you can't do my school project (a comic strip) for me:P The only thing I don't really like is the shoes. It just doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the picture (although they still look good).

While it looks like anime, it's still very good. You can definitely tell it's Mike, and that they do him justice, and that's what counts. Well done! *I WISH I COULD DRAW* What exactly, however, do you mean by the "Zoda" and "Zoda X/Y" colors? Are they the colors you'd think Zoda and Zoda X and Y would be, or...

Thanks for the comments. About the shoes... well, yeah, they look crappy cause they didn't fit inside the sketch. So when I scanned it, I had to add them digitally, so it was only natural they'd look akward. ^,^U By the colors, I mean what tribute Mike would make. You know, green to represent Zoda X & Y. Or Yellow to represent the anklet. Red represents either Michelle, or Prime Invader Zoda (st1), and purple represents Zoda Z. White could represent Dr. Jones. but it was actually an idea for a fan-game/fic I had in mind.

For some reason he reminds me of some old-school Pokémon main character. I think it has to do with the red yo-yo in his hand looking kinda like a Pokéball. However, I love the small additions you made to this; the freckles, the gel glow on the top of his hair, etc. The pseudo-gradient shading plays in your favor, and the fact that you managed to make it look perfect in all your color representations is amazing. Definately, this is a cute interpretation of Mike and a very nicely done piece of artwork! My favorites are Zoda X/Y Green and Dr. Jones White.

Thanks. lol Now that I look at it... I think I did terrible.. except the colors which give Mike some charm.
And you're the second person to tell me that looks like a Pokeball instead of a Yo-Yo XD. (I used to carry my yoyo that way, showing the round part, which ends up making it look like a ball).
