Howdy!! Name's Lecayle and I was thrilled to see an editor for Startropics. I believe that this game is underated and underappreciated!! I may not be on the boards a whole great much, but I do check into the boards I have reg'd on to keep up with stuff. Now, then: I am off to the help forum to do a bit of interrogating, lol.
*EDIT*
Just adding a few more tiddlywinks about my intro while it is still an intro. I have been a member on PureZC.net forever and a day now it seems, so I am fairly familiar with BBS setups and the yoodyoo that goes with it. While mainly a Zelda fan myself, Startropics has always been one of those games that I really wish had either continued or really happened. I remember when I first discovered it, Mom had rented it back in '91 and I played around on a save file. I loved the music and the transition from explore mode to beat down dungeon time. Keep in mind, young'uns, this game came out during a golden period for gaming. We were at a changing field as far as soon to be transitioning into 16-bit gaming, and Startropics made a grand stand to say that 8-bit still had something to offer. The STIII editor has been something I have long awaited to see. While I would like to see emulation of the original game, after playing the demo I can happily say that if it works and is still moving forward, I would like to watch and assist this project grow. For Gellin, my thanks. For the community, my thanks. Without a thriving community to back a program like this, well, let's leave that unsaid. Salutations, fellow nerds, dweebs, and gamers. Greetings to newfound friends.
I'll get an avatar set up sometime soon.
