A simple Google search led me to this forum. Nice.
StarTropics and Zoda's Revenge are two of the best games I have ever played. Better than anything coming out now, honestly.
I'm gonna like this place. ;D

Forget the Hollywood mess. If I was host, I'd have Wheel tape on C-Island. :)

Welcome to the StarTropics.com C-Island Forum! ;D Interestingly the forum is now the second result when searching "StarTropics" on Google. I don't think it was like that before .

So, there *is* activity here. Cool.
I'm a long time StarTropics fan, but I've only been playing Zoda's Revenge for about three months. I had wanted to play it for much longer, but I promised myself I wouldn't until I had beaten ST. It was tough as nails, but I finally pulled it off.
I'm already on Chapter 8 in ZR, believe it or not. It seems to be shorter (particularly the dungeons) and not as hard as ST, but it's a great game nonetheless.
Interesting story: I went to AnimeNEXT in New Jersey this past June, and they had a panel called "Underrated Games". I went to this panel, and they started talking about the NES. When I mentioned ST, the whole room broke out in applause. It was pretty neat. We're not the only ones who know how underappreciated these games are.
Thanks for the warm welcome! ;D

That's awesome to hear. We should start setting up booths at comic-con and E3 every year. ZR seems a bit easier to me too, mostly because Mike can now move in 8 directions, but it also is a great game, I still believe too. You'll love what happens in Chapter 9 (if you don't already know). When I first got to Chapter 9 during my first playthrough of the game, I let out a sizably-volumed yelp.

Hello sevens, I went to AnimeNext too since I live in New Jersey. I didn't expect anyone would have remembered startropics thats great to hear although now I'm sore I missed that panel. What I also would also have liked to see was a startropics to play in the video game room I've never had the pleasure of a joint playthrough.
I'm almost certain no one was a Mike Jones cosplay since i scoured the convention all three days for my favorite character. If I felt like I could have pulled him off I would have but my remaining hair is too thin, did you go as a cosplay yourself?

I just beat the Knight Rider boss today, so I'm sure I'll see Chapter 9 soon enough.
I live in PA, but I'm about as far east as you can go without being in Jersey. Somerset was only about 45 minutes away.
I wasn't in costume. Actually, it was my first con, so my main concern was finding my way around and seeing what was there. I plan to cosplay there next year, and Mike is one of the characters I have in mind. If I can get it put together, I'll definitely do it.
