The latest version of StarTropics III and its level editor can be found at startropics.com. There you will find the most recent updates about the game and you will be able to download it from there. Edit: I'm locking this thread now that there is an entire board for ST3. Hopefully, this will make things easier to find information and have your questions answered in the future. Also, I'm keeping the old message board around for anyone looking for something there. startropics.com/phpbb/index.php All posting and account creation on it has been disabled.

Forget the Hollywood mess. If I was host, I'd have Wheel tape on C-Island. :)

Where can we send you some of our rooms? I've already made up a few, I think it's actually a fun thing to do when I get some free time, so I've logged some time in on it.

You can PM me your rooms. And if that doesn't work, I'll PM you my email address so you can send them to me.
As for the gray screen with Mike. That's all I have finished right now. That is going to become the game eventually. I just figured I'd post what I have for now and update it along the way so you guys can check stuff out to see how it is progressing.

Little update for today. Added collision checking for boxes. As with every update I post, the demo is updated as well. Still not much to see yet but it's there if you want to check it out.

Well since there is not jumping or attacking yet, you just use the arrow keys

Sorry about the lack of updates. I bought X-Men Legends II last weekend and have been too busy playing it to work on the game. This game is a blast to play though. I'll probably be able to start working on the game again after next weekend.

Hey gellin! I recently got that game too. It's so cool, but looks like it would take more time to really get through it than I have. I love X-Men.

Is there something wrong with the link? It never works for me. Geocities sucks. Try copying the link and pasting it in your address bar. That should work. You're really not missing out on anything yet though.

So I've been having some timing problems making the game in Macromedia Director like I wanted too. So I've canceled this version. I thought it would be easier and it is easier than GameMaker but I still am having issues that are because of the inner workings of Director that I don't know too much about.
Don't worry though, I have already begun work on it once again this time using good old C++ and OpenGL. I am much more familiar with this and I think that I will rapidly progress this time around. I'm almost done with moving Mike around already. I will most likely have a new demo up by the end of next weekend, if not earlier.
You can continue to create levels using the level creator I already have for you. After this game actually gets further along, I may create a new level editor or else just a simple converter to bring over your levels to this version.

Alright I updated the demo once again. Things are going really well now. It's pretty much the exact same thing that was available before but this version is the C++/OpenGL version. The game zipped is now only 132 kb instead of 2.5 megs. So to reiterate, it's just moving around the screen using the arrow keys with collision dectection on the tile in the middle. No jumping or attacking yet.
