Hey guys. I know I haven't been as active the past month or two, things have been busy on this end. The past week, I've been prepping for that lovely spinning watery storm that's supposed to neck with the East Coast for a few days... So this is just a "Good luck!" if you're in the path of her, and a general "See ya on the other side of the storm" post. If you have any interesting experience with storms, hurricanes, etc., or w/e, this would be a good place to post some stuff. Maybe it'll become useful as advice for some members at a later point. *Salutes*

Yea it'll be hitting hardest for me tomorrow. We haven't really had this much hype build up for a storm here in Massachusetts in a good long while...should be interesting to see how Irene lives up to it!

Nothing too exciting to speak of at the end of the day. Strong rain and wind...but nothing too severe.

I live up in Canada Land so there's not really much to worry about up here. I hope that everything goes well for everyone else .

The power was out for 12 hours here, but strangely enough, it was the 12 hours, today, AFTER the storm. The electric did not go out once for us for the ENTIRETY of the hurricane, but about 2 hours afterward, the power went out. Tomfoolery if you ask me... Outside of a slew of broken branches, downed trees, and boatloads of rain, no damage to report on my end. Elsewhere close by though, I've heard some have not fared as well. Still, it could've been so much worse, especially considering the max winds dropped about 30 mph in the final 24 hours before it hit. That helped a whole lot.

Wooooooo. I got my power back this afternoon after being down for almost 4 full days...
It really didn't seem too bad out here, just wind and rain. Apparently it must have been worse that it looked.
The only damage done around my house was a fridge full of spoiled food. I did have the joy of taking cold showers the past few days so that was fun!
Edit: The subject of this thread makes me picture the st1 chapter 3 intro music.
