I know it's on the VC, but does Nintendo actually recognize the series and it's cult popularity and demand?
I've read in places about how they apparently considered Mike for brawl. Is that true or was it just because of the 3D model that someone on the forums made that formed rumors? Do they honestly somewhat consider a revival for the series?

I imagine Mike would have made it in as a trophy at the very least if he was truly considered for a place in Brawl. We all know that that didn't happen.
It would be interesting to know what the demand actually is aside from us forum-goers. I'd like to see some statistics on how many times ST 1 & 2 were purchased on the VC. I imagine StarTropics would have a better chance of getting noticed if there were big numbers there.

I've googled about StarTropics and there's some good amount of people who are interested in Startropics.

Not really, no. Nintendo of Japan didn't make it, and the games themselves were never released in Japan (not even on VC), and we all know how Nintendo puts Japan at the highest regard. As far as they seem concerned, StarTropics doesn't exist (the same reason why another NoA gem, Metal Combat, isn't recognized).

Well Japan is the REAL headquarters of Nintendo, NoA is more of a distributor, and only occasionally they do their own stuff, like they did with StarTropics.
The only people who can do anything is Nintendo Of America.
