Are "wii" just a "wii" bit excited about this Icarus? LOL, I told you the jokes would never end... Anyway, a friend of mine from school told me about it today. The timing is good, I can put it on my XMAS list and see if I get lucky. The full-featured controllers are expensive, but will probably be worth the price. However, the VC games seem a bit high priced to me (possibly $8 to dl an SNES game? jeez! I can go to Gamestop and buy one for probably less than that!) We'll see how it all works out when it's released. I have my hopes high, and I hope they're not shattered...

Thats cool. I just don't like the following paragraph....
Virtual Console games will cost between $5 and $10 each. Specifically, Nintendo Co. Ltd. announced that Virtual Console games would cost 500 yen ($5), 800 yen ($8) or 1,000 yen ($10); we're presuming these prices are for NES, SNES, and N64 games respectively.
$10 for an NES game? We were just joking about startropics being $7.47 and now the real price is even more!

Things may change. There's still 2 months. And don't you mean ""Wii" were just joking about startropics being $7.47 and now the real price is even more!" I'm bad.

I can see the press release now: "Every NES game is $5 for the Wii VC, except this one, StarTropics, because it's SO DANG GOOD, 'wii' decided 'wii' needed to charge ya more, and, 'wii' not so randomly decided on the figure $7.47"... ;D Just a thought

I believe one of the articles on IGN from last week said it was November 19 as well. I'm also wondering on the date when the new Smash Bros. game will be released...

I see the highly impossible. It just makes no sense. So I don't really think so. Where did you hear that?

SSBB is not being released until 2007 at the earliest. There is no set date for its release yet other than it will not be out this year.

2007?? Waaahhhh!!!!! Oh well, maybe it'll allow me to delay getting a Wii IMMEDIATELY after it is released, so its price will have a chance to drop a bit, and I'll actually have a bank account when I'm through getting it...

The date you saw at the top of the page STM is the pre-release shipping date, not the actual true "release date" of SSBB, by what I see there... My guess is that that is the date when they will be shipping the new game to people who, some time ago, ordered the game for pre-release delivery. The only people that may have been able to do this, however take note, could be those high up in the VG industry or business world, or those that have a direct connection with the Nintendo bigwigs themselves... It wouldn't make sense to me why a company would release a game, before the system it was made for, wasn't released first. What's a person gonna do with the game when they have no system to use it on first??
