Back in the early 90s, there was a game show about video games created by Acclaim with the help from Saban, called Video Power. I forgot what channel it usually came on, but it was an interesting show. It had things like Hot Flash, Video Power EDGE, Power Surge, and this part where the champion grabs as many video games as possible and slide down a tube slide, before the time runs out. Later on, they created their own version of Nintendo's Captain N: The Game Master, but this time, every character is owned by Acclaim (except for Bigfoot), while some characters in Captain N are not owned by Nintendo (e.g. Mega Man is owned by Capcom, and Simon Belmont is owned by Konami). This show was part of Video Power called The Power Team. It had characters from Acclaim's games, like Kuros (Wizards & Warriors 1, 2, and 3), Kwirk (from the Game Boy title of the same name), Bigfoot (from the NES title of the same name), and of course, the host of "Video Power" name Johnny Arcade, a game expert who was played by Stivi Paskoski. If you barely remember or not remember the shows, read these articles: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_Poweren.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_TeamIf you are too lazy to read, click it's external links for images of the show. Also, watch these two videos, one of them has two different openings: youtube.com/watch?v=PsTyqFMowqswww.youtube.com/watch?v=VWbgGkJGRKoThe Power Team was later rerunned on USA Network as "Acclaim Masters". Right now, there aren't any DVDs available.

Forget the Hollywood mess. If I was host, I'd have Wheel tape on C-Island. :)

Speaking as an all around game show fan, I'll say my piece... First off, it started off as a cartoon, not a game show (checked Wiki to make sure), and the game show version, was, well, unmemorable, IMHO, except for the bonus round. I didn't check the youtube videos, so I'm going off memory when they were on USA (I think the game was on USA at one time, not just the cartoon, but I'm not sure). The ONLY great VG game show, to me, was Nick Arcade (now that's one you all should know!), and Video Power seemed like a bit of a ripoff of it. I so badly wanted to be on Nick Arcade when it was on the air, after I watched an episode I'd go straight to my NES to practice... Lot of good it did me (look at where am now with the dang things), ROFL... ;D *EDIT* Oh, and BTW PH, the game was syndicated (like Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy), so it appeared on different networks, at different times, in different areas. It never was on one particular network, just FYI...

Games now have too much of a storyline to be on a cartoon...
