Forget the Hollywood mess. If I was host, I'd have Wheel tape on C-Island. :)

Yes, I've seen some of those. The reproduction NWC's are a cool-looking blue cartridge, I personally would think a blue or green cartridged ST in the same vein would look pretty wicked. Back to the mystery game... is it Cheetahmen 2?

Nope, and with that it becomes evident that the game wasn't made by Active Enterprises.

Was the game officially licensed by Nintendo?

Nope. I'll give you a hint: knowing the release date will help a lot!

I figured it wasn't, I have another couple of guesses with it at a point though.
Was this game made by one of those Chinese or Korean companies that pirated a bunch of games in the late 90's?

Unfortunately not, although I do tend to love those pirate games. I actually have the Sonic 5 and Street Fighter 2 pirate Famicom carts, the quality of them is hilarious.

I have two separate ideas now, one is a guess, the other is another question. I'll go with the question first.
Was this game made by American Video Entertainment?

Then I suspect my guess may be it:
Battle Kid: Fortress of Peril

Aha! Now that's what I've been looking for. ;D Sure it's not an NES game that was officially licensed by Nintendo or was released back when the NES was in it's prime, but it's still a game for the NES none the less. It's actually a really incredible game, with exactly the amount of challenge and exploration that I like. It's amazing how much time I've gotten out of it so far. Well Coralcola, I suppose that after all of that guessing it's finally time for you to sit back, relax, and think of a game for us to guess this time.
